What would happen to this forum if Cam Newton signed with the Saints and led them to the postseason?

I would to hate to see it, more for Cam then any Panthers fans’ feelings

love the man but he needs to retire.

Gotta be hard to still be young, top, athlete  and have a shoulder that can’t function

he doesn't need to be punch drunk at 50 either and he may very well be with the head shots he has taken

N/A

Even if they signed him and made the playoffs he will not be "leading" them to the playoffs. They're already 5-2 and have gotten to that point with poor QB play. Their D and Sean Payton are the only reason they're any good.

I mean yeah but I meant just he'd be the QB of the team.  I think he's finished too, but it would still make me pretty sad if Cam ever donned a Saints uniform (not that I think he will... but the insanity that would ensue on this forum would be hilarious)

I'm already pretty numb to it. Him donning a Pats uniform is just as bad.

It’s not hard to tell which posters are actually liked in real life. Well, I take that back. It’s not hard to tell which posters aren’t liked in real life. They’re the ones that typically take issue with the people that everyone either likes or gravitates towards.

Anyways, I root for Jameis. He was having a decent year, and I wanted him here. Hopefully, he comes back even better.

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
