Why can't the Panthers have nice things? Cam, Luke, now likely CMC just in recent years. All generational type talents. All derailed by injury.

NFL = Not For Long.

That's what it meant 50 years ago, it still means the same today. Stop blaming the franchise that it is part of the most brutal sport of modern day.

In another 50 years, the league won't even exist because our society won't even let people voluntarily sign up.

Which they will most likely do.

    There is an opt out on any contract, every year. It’s just deciding if it is worth it. And this isn’t even valid information as his restructure isn’t on there. The correct one is below.  12.8M dead cap after a 14M hit for 2022.

Current Contract

Christian McCaffrey signed a 4 year, $64,063,500 contract with the Carolina Panthers, including a $21,500,000 signing bonus, $38,162,500 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,015,875. In 2021, McCaffrey will earn a base salary of $990,000, a restructure bonus of $7,047,500 and a workout bonus of $200,000, while carrying a cap hit of $6,899,500 and a dead cap value of $33,537,500.

It has come to this.  Yes they need to opt out

What will they do with all the CMC items in the team store

What is his  coming off IR probability to play against NE ?

He’s definitely not playing immediately the week he comes off IR. Probably the week after that. Really, who the hell knows ? I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play another down this season.

The dude will still be worth a 1st at that point.

Nobody is trading a first for cmc regardless if he comes back next year and plays 17 games. We are one of the few nfl teams that still drafts rbs in the top 10. The other team off the top of my head is the giants and look at Barkley. We are a poorly run franchise. Nfl teams do not value rbs like that. Add in injury history and we would be  lucky to get a 2nd from a team.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
