Does anyone still seriously think Jeff Davidson calls a good game?

Only when playing from behind.

i still disagree. IF davidson didn't have the running game, there would be a lot more leeway for excuses... but there is NO excuse to throw 40+ times with a lame duck QB when deangelo williams is averaging NINE YARDS per carry.

Welll I was playing 1vs100 last night on the 360. But I turned back and forth to the game in between breaks. But overall what I saw in the highlights on ESPN. The panther D got runned over a buy a pothead guy name Ricky Willaims who has not ran that good since his days as a saint. But oh yes just like the panther D make every team offense look like a all pro offense. Plain and simple Fox needs to be fired along with the whole coach staff and we need to bring in a coach that can come in and turn is up a notch. If that means waiting a few year for success once again so be it. But fox got out coached once again. This why Fox has never ever had a back to back winning seasons with the panthers. He took us to the SB and to 2 NCF title games in the playoffs. Good for him. Dom Capers got us to the NFC Title game in 96. But a year later he got fired. Fox has runned his course in carolina. Time for some new blood.

Between Fox and Davidson. Both of them don't have a half of a brain combine between them 2. thats how dumb they both are. And half brain HC and OC would know stay with what work for you.But oh well say bye bye to Fox and his crew and season end. I am sure fox will find anyway now to throw the rest of the games for us.

Why do we pull DWill out of the game so often? Stewart is not as good as him, and unless DWill has ran 6 times in a row, he needs to stay in.

Then when they do bring in Stewart, they run the same play with him over and over.

So frustrating.

Well in 5 games Dwill mange to get over a 1000 yards. If we want Swill to have a long carreer with the panthers. don't just run him into the ground. Thats why stewart is in so much. Theres nothing wrong with that game plan they are using. It's just Davidson and fox always seem to go away from what works with it working. When it ain't working for us. They mange to use it more. Fox and davidson is a complete bunch of morons period.:reddevil:

No, this is not a valid reason. You split carries when your star is getting 20-25 carries OR not being effective. You DO NOT run DWill for a 6 yard gain and then plug in Stewart for the next 2 plays to get 3 yards and punt. That's stupid.

Only when playing from behind.

First half, score 3-0, Panthers up most of the half, and the ratio was still Jake throwing 17 times and taking three sacks, while Williams and Stewart combined for 15 rushes. That's a 4:3 Pass/Run ratio if you don't care to do the math, and it was NOT generated while we were behind.

In the second half we panicked again, as usual with Davidson calling plays, and all but abandoned the run. We threw 25 times, taking a sack, and Jake scrambled twice. That's 28 passing plays to 10 more rushes for Stewart and Williams, done while we just down 11 with the defense playing well. We went from 4:3 in the first half to almost 3:1 in the second.

Maybe your genius should realize that the Panthers consistently win more than they lose when they run more than they throw, and consistently lose more than they win when they throw more than they run. This has been true since Fox has been here. I know a lot of people want to blame him, and I do blame him for hiring a talentless goofball of a coach from the offensively-inept Cleveland Browns to run our offense. But the last thing I am ready to believe is that John Fox is out there saying "Hey, let's throw the ball a lot--that's Foxball!"

I really don't know what you see in him. He's got a small playbook, rarely makes good adjustments (I say rarely because while I haven't see any I concede that in three years there may have been one or two), and doesn't learn from his mistakes. Why do you think he's any good at all in the face of all the evidence to the contrary? Maybe he threw some business your way or something?

...or you have stewart run for 15 yards on 2 carries (5 yards his first carry, 10 his second), then have williams come in at get stuffed behind the line.

the problem isn't who is carrying the ball. it's how the backs are being utilized.

Sure, he has good plays, but his calling is atrocious and his adjustments are non-existent. Why on earth is he putting the game on Jake's arm? When it's first and goal from the seven, why throw three times? Why throw when it's second and goal from the eight when the run is what got you there?

I'm really starting to think he's a weaker link than Crossman.

Does anybody seriousl think Davidson is not just calling what Fox wants him to call? We all thought Henning was the problem then he leaves and remembers how to call a game. Fox is the problem. He needs to go.
