It's not scapegoating when he's the biggest problem.

Oh yeah the worst qb in the league over the last 4 years with clean pockets is not the biggest problem. Y’all are seriously insane. This is a talent issue. Darnold is missing wide open players on a continual basis and this team cannot run it on 3rd and 2 when the defense knows we’re running. His scheme is good.

I actually looked at QB stats and highlighted the years Sean Ryan was QB coach if anyone cares. The combination of him, Brady, and a terrible OL didn’t have a chance of making Darnold better. Maybe if he got a really seasoned staff but this was the wrong marriage.

You guys were praising this new regime a few weeks ago.  Hahaha.

And they'll go back to praising if we start winning again. Most people here don't analyze what is going on they just react based on the result. QB misses wide open receiver on a play where the guy was schemed wide open? Blame Brady! Sam throws a ball into triple coverage with Hubbard wide open underneath? Blame Brady!

Sam dumps off to CMC and he breaks two tackles and makes a guy miss? What a call by Brady!

They see the result and make their judgement completely off of that rather than assess what's actually going on.

Besides Teddy being captain check down and choking in the clutch last season, our offense in 2020 was not bad. Last year, our passing game revolved around quicker and short passes with slant routes and drag routes in spread formations. Sorta similar to the Saints offense. Robby was more effective last year with having a majority of catches last year from quicker routes and yards after catch along with Curtis being money on third downs.

This year, it seems that we are running longer developing routes combined with our poor offensive line and Darnold decision making.

i mean I know more goes into it but the Panthers were ranked 22-23 points per game last year.

the same as this year.

Wasn't Rhule known as more of an offensive coach? Surely he should be taking over in some capacity after 3 weeks of complete mediocrity.

Darnold has been a disappointment the last few weeks, but apart from a strong WR room he doesn't really have the support that was touted earlier in the year. The offensive woes are due to poor coaching and poor roster management in neglecting the OL so badly.

This is the truth. Should be pinned or something. Cuz too many folks are going to miss out.

Everywhere Rhule has been he has produced a far better defense than offense. In college I think I looked it up before, but in 7 years he produced a top 25 defense 4 out of 7 years. He produced a top 25 offense... never.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
