So your general hypothesis here is that we would pretty much be the same offense with Deshaun as we are with Sam?!?

No, it has nothing to do with Darnold.  It is about selling out in hopes that disturbingly troubled player can save this franchise.  I want no part of a team that thinks like that.  If you do then I wish you luck.

Last thing I heard was he was gonna pay out to the accusers but he wanted it to be public and they didn’t. Not sure if that’s true but weird. Usually it’s the other way around.

Ah. Do you have any sources for that? I thought he was adamant about not paying because he thought they'd make him appear guilty.

The NFL has two teams in LA that are good, they're not losing sleep over anyone protesting Deshaun Watson

True…especially since out of 10,000 emails Gruden was the “only one” who was caught.

….whole place is compromised

Hell I’d trade for him with this plan:

Work with him and his lawyers to settle his cases. 10 million dollar fund for the victims to just make all of it go away.

Immediately suspend him for 10 games aka the remainder of the season. And put out a joint statement that he will spend the remainder of the season undergoing counseling and sensitivity training. Would have him go on the Ray Rice apology tour.

Deal with all of that this season because we’re going to lose anyway. Then next year you go into the season with a young franchise QB whose paid his debt for his actions and be ready to play football.

Now I actually like this idea.  Get him on the team, and then officially suspend him for the rest of the season.  Who cares?  Not like we're making the playoffs this year anyways.  Then, next year is when it can FINALLY start to all come together, and we have a well-rested superstar QB ready to take over the NFC South for the next 10 years.

Yea it was in the video posted earlier in here I believe with Florio on NBC sports

That's extremely weird. I mean the desire for disclosure should be a credit to Watson, right?

His side is so confident that they demand everything be public? Doesn't Buzbee have a questionable past? What a weird case.

Fair enough, I'm just confused as to why you wouldn't support a team for letting him play but will continue to support a league that will let him play.

I don't support the league willingly. I'm forced to pay the cable company and my streaming service to watch the Panthers games.  I don't watch other teams play very often except maybe a couple of playoff games.  I didn't even watch the lady SB.  That should give you an idea of my support level of the NFL.

I didn't watch Peyton or Rothlesbuger and both should have accounted for their behavior.  I had not control over that and I have no control over who supports who.  The only thing I can control is my participation in this saga.

It's hard to say.  I think it is best to avoid judgment and assumptions right now, but that isn't the society we live in (and no, this is not me saying I think Watson is innocent... I do think he's definitely guilty of something, but that something won't become clearer until later if it ever does)

It is possible they want it to be public because they weren't going to pay much for the settlement, which could give off the impression that the accusations weren't that much.  On the other end, Buzbee might feel that making the settlement public does more harm to the women than keeping it private.  So while it is a weird switch of things, I don't think we can make an assumption about what it means for either sides as far as being in the right vs wrong.

He doesn't want to do that because he feels he is innocent. He has the money to settle these claims. He doesn't want to. Because he think's he is innocent.

Doesn’t matter if he’s innocent or not. You pay to make it go away, it’s an investment in your ability to make more money,

So is trading for a QB that a lot of folks think will magically make things better.

Making one move is a lot easier than planning on fixing an entire unit in one off season. I’m not saying the OL isn’t a problem. That would be stupid. But even when our current QB does have time, he botches it. Watson wouldn’t.

Panthers and Dolphins only ones in the mix.

And Peter King reported Monday that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross "is not pushing his football people to deal for Watson right now."

Why the f*ck are you excited?

or rather why would ANYONE be excited?

Maybe if Watson didn't have these legal issues, there would be reason for this but he DOES have legal issues and won't be on the field for perhaps 1-2 seasons (maybe more if he ends up serving Jail-time)...
