What did they see in Darnold?

Just think. Terry Bradshaw said that we had our franchise QB and the best QB in our franchise history in Darnold. Somebody get that senile old bitch off TV!

And Darnold may have been, and may still be salvable. The problem is you needed an offense that babies the guy, gets him adjusted, and takes the pressure off his shoulders. You needed Ron Rivera + Norv Turner coached team and an offensive line.

The Panthers keep trying to take short cuts to success without the assets to risk what they're doing.

Darnold would struggle behind the Dallas OL and with the Dallas running game. His issues aren't related to what happened to him, they are related to who he is as a player.

And, really, why would anyone think he could suddenly just be an NFL QB after just one full season as a HS QB and two seasons as a college QB? Even at USC his disappointing RS sophomore season was blamed on coaching. So, at USC, the Jets and now here in Carolina it was always the coaches fault?

His career and the idea of his talent was made on one year at USC, where he was playing with a ton of talent around him. It was never real.

A top 5 quality player still young they thought could be coached up to his potential with a good surrounding cast... The surrounding cast has failed and he needs way more coaching up if he isn't already broken..

The Darnold draft hype reminded me far too much of the "he can throw 90 yards on his knees" crap.

Brady a few weeks ago was getting all kinds of praise for the 2nd coming of Sam. Now, I have not heard anything from him. 

I think that this franchise has tended to move on from OC's too fast, but at this point I don't trust Brady's evaluation process on finding the next QB for us.

At this point I can't even blame Brady...

Oline can't be trusted to blocked for more then 2 seconds and even when they do WR can't catch.. Then the QBS not accurate and can't read defenses consistently... Their is nothing on this offense you can depend on at this point..

We have no future to compromise at the moment. 

 

Not sure where the idea there are no QBs coming out next year started. Cuz there are quite a few QBs that are lighting it up this year. If we go that way, there will be options.

They watched every throw Sam has made since High School. They did their homework. It just seems like it hasn't worked so far. Maybe it still can.

Malik Willis was put up with Highlights but he's no good according to the QB experts here.

Howell is no good because he's seemed mediocre.

Rattler, as well. 

Personally, all of them would be good draft picks....why?  Because none of them were destroyed by the Jets.
