Do you know why that pass was so poor? Because he didn't step into the throw. If he steps into that he probably hits Tremble in the back of the EndZone.

Do you know why he didn't step into the throw? Because he's shook af playing behind this Oline. His mechanics are regressing again. It's time to move on because we've ruined him, but it's as much on Brady and the Oline as anyone else.

What has he done to make you think he can consistently be a decent QB in this league. His line sucks? Ok the Dolphins line is worse is Tua isn’t shitting the bed. He holds the ball too long (not smart if your line sucks). The more time he has the worse he decisions are. His quick passes to CMC the first 3 weeks hid how bad he is at reading defenses.

I think we REALLY dialed things back this year due to severe limitations on the OL and at QB.

This can't be true when they throw the ball 49 times. They have done anything but try to limit the offense or take the ball out of Darnolds hands.

Not trusting your QB is Panthers vs Falcons where DWill plays wild cat all game. A good question would be "Why the fug do you guys keep trusting Darnold"

I mean in terms of the routes and reads. Everything we're running is very basic one to two read type stuff. Teddy was physically limited, but we didn't have to give him a coloring book as a playbook. It seems like that's what we've had to do this year.

I guess I'm just struggling to overlook the horrific play calling.

The Vikings DBs were running the routes for our receivers a few weeks ago - I don't get the All-22, but I'd bet that's a theme now. Look at how Garrett negated a poor Oline with screens and roll outs.

Brady? Nah. McCaffrey is a mismatch player who makes everyone around him better, but Brady has to have a Plan B. He doesn't - he'll be gone soon I think.

This is a self fulfilling prophecy though. Your QB is going to struggle even worse when the defense is all sat within 10 yards of the LOS including the S because they already know you're running short routes and the exact same short routes at that.

When PJ came in the Giants were literally running over and into each other trying to compete for Interceptions because they knew what was coming. They stopped their own selves from getting picks. That was with a different QB but they still were jumping the play...

Not convinced that's what is happening anyway though but I'm not going through those shitty ass games again I already did looking at Darnolds mechanics on our passing plays.

Everything about the offense is broken right now. Just point a finger in any direction and you're going to he pointing at a problem.

That's true it's a circular problem right now with everything feeding off each other. The whole feeding off each other thing isn't just when it's positive. We have a negative feedback loop going on something serious here.

They aren't just sitting on the routes bc of playcalling they've watched film and know Sam is zero threat to connect deep they don't even have to worry about half the field. As for PJ Walker the man is a former XFL quarterback what more needs to be said? But we put him in too late to have any kind of effect by that point the Giants had all momentum and our receivers were done they started to check out because they do not believe in the starting qb. The game was already over.

I saw a video of Rhule and his staff talking about trading for Sam. They thought he looked like Matthew Stafford, the guy they really wanted. Matt said he didn't want to come here, and Fitterer went into overdrive to find a vet.

Matt Rhule boggles my mind.  Like in camp, bragging about how he let other coaches dictate what they wanted to do.  Almost like it was a privledge to be on the field with people who are better.

and then your QB problem...is essentially mapped out by your Defensive Coordinator.

What does Matt Rhule actually do and good for?

I mean, my intention isn't to be a Brady defender.

But the Panthers gave him the worst starting QB in the NFL and what might be the worst OL in the NFL.  What plan could an actually good OC come up with to make that work and it not routinely make his calls look horrible?

people call Byron Leftwich a good OC now.  He is just letting Tom Brady work his magic.

Sean McDermott? Bad DC with bad talent.  Great DC with good talent.

I didn't mind trading for him, though I thought the 2nd was a round too high. What I did mind was picking up that option as opposed to letting him earn his status on the field. The motherfuger learned nothing from the Teddy situation. Dumb!

We're so solely focused on traits and measurables right now that I think that it completely escapes us to consider whether or not a particular physical specimen actually exhibits football skills. If this brain trust is still in place, we might draft a physical freak of a wrestler or Australian rugby player or something next year.
