This Carolina Panthers Team Is Not Very Good

Team:

- Offense

* O-Line is a disaster and inept across the board (T-mo even seems to be regressing next to the rest of these Guys)

QB Play is horrendous. Darnold has arm talent but makes poor decisions and processes too slow, the only QB who may be worse is PJ Walker--who is our backup. PJ was like 3rd string at the colts (barely on a roster).

Rest of the offense- Anderson has the droppsies and hasn't shown up besides to drop a ball here and there, DJ is supposed to be a great after contact receiver (but seems to prefer avoiding contact). Terrace Marshall hasn't impressed me much yet- and now he's hurt. Tremble has potential but we traded away our only real receiving TE for a CB (a kid who has barely seen the field). CMAC is amazing but out again (you know what they say about availability). Our backup RBs are backups for a reason--that reason is poor pass pro--Chubba may grow into something but he is not a good back now.

-Defense

Everyone knows there's talent here but, except when attacking rookie QBs,  they don't seem to be able to reach their potential. Injuries have reared up here but we were supposed to be deep (and should be). Where are our play makers? Reddick is perhaps our most consistent player- DJack has flashed, but they have struggled in the Second Half to close out games. That could be because they are so tired after being on the field the entire 3rd quarter in most games.

-Special Teams

* We have had trouble here for a long time. Nothing has gotten better. Zane is better than expected (but much wasn't expected)- Punting has mostly been woeful and returns have not impressed. Protection on punts and FGs has been bad.

- Coaching

* Simply put we have been out coached repeatedly this year. Teams have made adjustments at HT that we have had no answer for. I have watched other teams change  what they do to help the players they put on the field why we seem to do the same thing over and over and expect our player to somehow execute better even when the other team knows exactly what we are going to do. I like Rhule and his process oriented approach, but at some point if the process isn't working you might want to change it a little here and there. I am pretty sure he see's the problems (especially with the offense). I think I see some ways to adjust with the talent we have to make things better, but I'm not an NFL coach. I saw the Giants do some of those things (move the pocket, half the field, reduce Jones' progressions). I thought those were things we could do for Darnold- but we haven't really tried them that I've seen. Those things might not work for us but I'd like to see something a little different besides "we are gonna run more, unless we get behind and have the throw the ball a billion times." That said- Im not against running more, but I'd  like that stick to it. Go heavy and pound the frigging rock our get creative and spread everyone out and then pitch or option...get the ball out to DJ or Shi or Tremble in more unconventional plays...something other than tell everyone we are going to run more then line up and run it the same way you've run it all year-kinda -half-heartedly and the abandon it ...

Anyway I'm out...

Hopefully we win next week Keep Pounding

I have no doubt if we had CMC and Horn we would be looking at 5-2. But today was a huge loss in spirit and I don’t think the guys are playing as hard anymore. I know that’s speculation but we only put up 3 points against what was the worst team in the NFL.

Just seems like Rhule and the staff bought into their own hype and thought confidence was enough to get over some of the adversity we’ve faced.

Teddy could execute our offense, but Sam can't. The scary part is that Rhule and company thought Sam would be able to execute our offense BETTER than Teddy. Think about how bad you have to be in evaluating a QB that Sam, who has never proven anything, is the guy you thought would be great here. No one wanted Sam except us, and we payed a King's ransom. Why not wait until he was cut? No one wanted him. Just bizarre.
