A question for you all

So from my earlier post you know my thoughts, I believe it’s still early to tell about the staff, and in some ways the roster, however you all seem to have some very strong feelings about the current regime so my question is, of the available coordinators in the nfl or college ranks,

who would you like to see instead that we could reasonably go and get right now ?

What system do you think fits our personnel?

And if you do hire a new staff how far are we from the system they would likely choose to run ?

These are the questions you would reasonably need to be able to answer to burn it down again, especially at this point in a live season. For my part I am still optimistic things will gradually get better, but I can be wrong and I understand if you personally disagree.

Much respect thanks guys

If we were progressing, I'd be all for waiting it out. But regression is not what you want in your second season. Rhule and company hitched their wagons to Sam and it's set the team back again

That’s fair, however I don’t think that Sam was the first choice, if I venture a guess I would say Matt Stafford was the guy, but we were a slightly less attractive spot, so going into this offseason I think you’ll see some nice moves made, that’s what I’m hedging my bets on. But as for this season, our best move is to watch, wait, and evaluate.

I know hindsight is hindsight but man....if the Panthers brass would've just took a chance and wait for the Draft, we would've had fields.

Yes, he hasn't played well but AT LEAST we'd have a young QB that is NOT going to be covered in NY Jets STINK from the get-go.

Now that I disagree with, there’s a lot of buzzwords and superstition with this whole damaged goods thing not that I believe it’s you pushing that narrative, but it’s a vast oversimplification of a very complex situation, scheme fit, playbook mastery, and confidence all play into a QB success or failure. We would be no better off with Justin fields for sure nor Mac for that matter with our line, we are seeing the results of a QB who is far behind in development because of a bad head coach and supporting cast but he’s no further behind than a rookie would be.

I'm not giving up on Sam.  He needs protection.  PJ didn't do much better because he didn't have any protection.  It was good to sit Sam when they did.  Now it's time for coaches to coach and get the fkng line capable of protecting the QB.  Oh, and also get Sam to get the ball out a little faster.  You all have a good day (night).

I get what you're saying but with Fields, we would've had a restarted Rookie Contract Clock to FIX the damn O-Line and teach him from the ground up how to be an NFL QB without all the bad habits learned from another NFL team.

Not being sarcastic but what do you like that the staff is doing right now?

I see a lot of failure and they are not adapting to it well at this point. Lots of takes and lots of feels after today's implosion. The schemes, roster and execution are all bad. Some bright spots on D but that's all I see at this time.

Defending Darnold at this point is just delusionary. He is absolutely part of the failure and his performance is absolutely part of why this is a bad team. Lots of blame to go around unfortunately.

Well, it’s kind of hard to figure out what system fits you….when you don’t have a QB.  QB IMO should dictate it.

He has had many bad games in less than 2 seasons. This was the worst of them? And we expect him to get better fast? Doesn't seem like Rhule is good at learning, adapting, or adjusting.

I did not judge him in the 2020 convid BS season, that was the hardest start in NFL history to over-come. He's had 3 awful games this season, a huge mixed bag of not ready, not adapting, poor decisions etc etc. This feels like his rookie year.  Trying hard not to focus on just this giant game, just pitiful right now for me...

It’s not so much what I like about the staff it’s the huddles tendency to want heads to roll, but without a clear option in mind, I do see regression for sure, but I would say that as things stand there isn’t much to be done

That’s fair but, there are many other things involved in a total overhaul like that, basing it all on the Qb is fine for the offense but what of the defense ?
