Kansas City's offense failed to score a touchdown in Super Bowl LV, largely due to an offensive line that allowed Patrick Mahomes to be pressured on 29 of 56 dropbacks -- the most for any quarterback in the Super Bowl era.

Patrick Mahomes, as a result, was constantly on the run and ended up completing just 26-of-49 passes for 270 yards, with two interceptions.

No QB is doing anything with that kind of OL play, even the best in the league according to most people.

Pat easily wins that Philly game for us though even though Darnold was under a historic amount of pressure, the same kind of pressure that Pat faced in the super bowl and could not even score a TD.

KC drafted almost all OL in the draft, their FO/coaching staff don't even agree with those that don't watch the NFL. You will recognize that special brand of a knowledge void....ESPN....you can tell who watches which show and which day quite frankly.

Sam had 14 total hurries last game. 3 sacks and 11 hurries. That’s a lot less that Pat’s 29 in the Super Bowl.

That was last game when he had 10 drops from the WRs. You said Pat easily wins the Philly game, dont walk back explain how Pat wins the philly game with the same pressure he faced in the SB and did not score a TD.

Look Pat had 10 QB hits and 3 sacks (no telling how many pressures) against WFT. He threw 2 picks in the first half and still bounces back to put up 31 points with over 400 total yards and win. So let’s stop comparing Sam to Pat ok?

That's not a historic amount of pressure that's basically the Vikings game level of pressure. Im not comparing them, once again you are missing the point, other things need to change besides the QB. We do not have a franchise savior ready to walk in and put the offense on his back.

If we go into this offseason and the only thing we change on offense is the QB again, we have lost.

We were winning that Eagles game with our defense. Just don’t throw 3 picks and we win. Is that too much to ask? I’m not saying our team in just a QB away. I’m just saying Darnold isn’t the answer to our QB problem. Interior offensive line is definitely an issue. Erving is just meh and injury prone and needs to be replaced as well. Linebackers not named Shaq are weak and we could use a ball hawk safety. OC obviously has been brought up by many as well. QB is just the most important with offensive line being a close second.

Now we know why the team had butterfingers for most of the game....they were following the coach's lead. 😏

Sam Darnald has always had a high drop rate. Why? I'm not really sure but I really think it's probably pressure. I'm not sure we did ourselves any favors bring in a guy who melted when paired with a bad line and giving him the exact same thing. We might would have been better with Fields IMO. But I'm not Rhule or the GM.

How?  You think he will fare any better behind THIS O-Line?

Until the O-Line is fixed to be at least AVERAGE, No young QB will be even remotely successful.

This is Kyle Allen all over again with these Sam fanboys. He's a fourth year pro these mistakes are who he is accept it.

eh.   Kyle Allen would not have had the drive late that Sam did.

I think Sam is better than him and TB but that's a really low bar to set so whatever.... 😐

You know what I want?  I want the Sam we saw that final drive to be the Sam for 60 minutes in every game.

That version of Sam is what's needed to win games.  And I don't know if it was indeed Sam going "off-script"(ignoring Brady's sh*tty playcalls) during that drive or not....but if it was, he needs to start calling more audibles.

Sam has been showing flashes of being a good QB for years.

It's on him to put it together.

You're not really telling me anything new here.

I said that I want the "final-drive" Sam Darnold for 60 minutes instead of what we witnessed earlier than that.

Of course it's on him to put it together.

I wouldn't have wanted to subject Fields to this nonsense, even if he was just a backup. At this point, he'd probably already being seeing playing time given how poor Darnold's play has been. Then we would be ruining another QB.

Most of the drops were not drive killers though. We had 4 in that final drive still scored

Any drop can be a drive killer. Don't polish a turd, man. A drop is a receiver error, pure and simple. Each one of those on that day would have extended a drive instead of wasting a down.
