Injury or Not: Why Godfrey Should Not get the Start at FS

but he has already made more plays this year, than godfrey did all of last year, he is already better. Even if he does nothing the rest of the year, he will have still done more than Godfrey ever did.

Im assuming your meaning int. All that means is on those select plays he was in the right postion and caught the ball. It doesnt mean he accomplished more then godfry. Its like judging two DE on sacks alone. Not a reliable way to judge two players.

Granted that doesnt mean Martin isnt better, But if were going to judge that youf have to look at every play in his games and see how he's doing overall. I havent seen the tape so Martin very well could be better.

My problem is just based are what happens every year: Im worried Martin will fall back to Earth and as a rookie will make more mistakes then a 2nd year Gofry will. We cant afford that with the season so tight.

Jake Delhomme still has his Job right? Godfrey will be on the field when health. You never lose your Job with Fox till you cant make it on the field.

Not actually true.

Ken Lucas was benched a few years back coming off an injury. Fox stated the benching was for performance reasons, not injury.

It's not a lock that Godfrey gets his spot back.

You guys are brutal. Godfrey played CB at Iowa, we convert him to safety, has a great first year, and is having a so so 2nd year, and you guys are ready to throw him to the wolves???? That is not an easy transition from CB to safety, much less in the NFL. He has talent, but maybe he is being exposed a bit this year. He has god given talent and needs to learn from this and I expect he will. I was happy when we drafted him and I still am.

I'd prefer him to be tried out at CB where he played during college. Maybe he'll be even better at that position.
