I've given Sam the benefit of the doubt but he is now as bad as Clausen was.

 

I think I'm ready to see if PJ can at least make this offense look semi competent.

Unless the WRs sit three rows into the stands, they won’t have an opportunity to drop PJ’s passes.

Darnold wasn't good but I honestly don't expect him to be. But the receivers were trash and I expect MUCH more out of them.

I'm not totally exonerating Sam, but this is not all on him and he showed more moxie on that last drive than Teddy ever did in spite of unacceptable drops.

I'm not saying he's the answer but it's hard to scapegoat one guy when there is such a colossal amount of blame to go around

Sam isn't a world beater but our receivers had like 10 drops.  Also the fumble.  And the the offensive line as usual.  All three were bad.  And Brady play calling.

It don’t matter who is the QB is anyone would look like trash behind this O-line we are playing 4 people who don’t deserve to sniff the field…. Until they fix the line it’s gonna be rinse and repeat every week

He can’t. The offense will remain incompetent as long as CMC is out and we have the worst line in the league.

Want to fix it? Trade for a proven veteran and fix the line. 
 

Other option is another season down the tubes….draft the future. PJ isn’t the answer. If he was then Sam wouldn’t be on the team.

The counter argument regarding the drops is frustrating.  It doesn't mean he still didn't suck the past 3 weeks.  Are we ignoring the game setting INT? Or the early miss on the wide open DJ for an easy bomb?

He's good at rolling out yet bad at improv.  He doesn't read the field as well as you'd like to see.  Jittery.  Yes, a lot of these are because of NYJ and the OL we're giving him, but still, we're just all sorts of discombobulated from coaching to line play to dropsies to the man behind center.  Bad offense all around
