Sam can run, too, you know?  As his 5 Rushing TDs can attest to.

But apparently he's following the "advice" of Brady to "play within the system".

There was plenty of moments in that game where he had room to run for good yardage and chose to stay where he was at.

And Cam would not have won this game by being here.    He would not have made DJ not fumble nor Robbie not NOT catch the ball either.     He would not have made the Defense NOT give up over 570+ total yards of Offense to the Vikings either.

You want Cam back because you love the guy.  That's fine but just know that it wouldn't have changed the outcome of this game.

cam also would not have wasted a play at the goal line that led to a fg with a jet sweep to a slow te

Yes dude. Cam is one of the greatest rushing threats this league has ever seen. Sam randomly has 5 rushing tds that’s not the norm for him. The fact you think Darnold is on cams level rushing is hilarious. Again this isn’t about one game. Sam is regressing. His play has deflated the team. It started showing in the cowboys game and has gotten worse each subsequent game.

i want cam back because he’s better than Darnold and the only other option that’s available midseason. Darnold is primed for a full on implosion game. If he does this against the shitty giants we need to just tank. Cam isn’t coming back but it’s fun to think about.

You have no idea how wrong you are. No matter who you put in at QB it would still be a mess with no protection that would lead to getting our QB killed.

Uh no. 2 sacks were not the qbs fault. overall the oline was fine today. Darnold is just not seeing the field or Robby was dropping almost everything. Also cam is one of the most elusive qbs in the nfl. Like RW who has been dealing with poo lines for years. We’d get better play overall with a better qb. Doesn’t mean the oline doesn’t need to be upgraded as much as possible but Darnold ain’t it.

Cam played for Carolina in his prime and managed a grand total of 3 winning seasons out of 9.

Cam is no longer in his prime.  The Panthers are still a hot mess, especially the offensive line.

Cam's fans routinely explained away his failure to win by blaming Carolina's terrible offensive line.

None of those lines were any worse than what the Panthers fielded today.

Stop torturing yourselves.  Cam playing w/this team would result in pretty much the same outcome, another losing season.

Y’all are tripping with this statement, we field a converted dt at rt and Byron bell at left tackle, while sioulatu or however his name is spelled was at guard

Cam is not turning this team around with this offensive line.

He is not the QB he was a decade ago, not even close.

When healthy this o line might not be the worst Cam ever played behind but it sure wouldn't be one of the best.

Cama best bet is a team ready to win now. That is not us.

    • the argument that Dan Morgan was assistant GM for years while running counter to everything both his bosses signed off on (who look down at him and his staff for info).....is a tough sell.  I feel we do a variant of this every year.  You aren't this bad...becuase of 1 person.  You are this bad because of LOTS of bad people.  It was never just Joe Brady.  Which is why firing him didn't lead to better offense.  It was never just Matt Rhule.  It was never just Fitterer.    As bad as we are, we need to scorch Earth this puppy and quit letting people who were part of making the mess be the designed folks to lead us out of the mess.  when David Tepper and Jim Caldwell found the answer on the roster......it was clear from the jump nothing had really changed.
    • "Buckaroo." That's good. 🤣👍 Mature beyond his years, clearly. Brian Burns was a far more justifiable asset to trade for a good return during the 2022 season, than DJ Moore (who was shipped out the following spring). Do you disagree? Let me know. I'd have traded Burns before McCaffrey, and I wouldn't have traded Moore at all. It's possible, despite what Morgan and Fitterer display, to turn down a bad offer. Thirty-one other teams are aware of this. That brings me to Johnson: if your "leverage" is "he wasn't gonna re-sign," you have no leverage; which, as you said, means you shouldn't make a trade, right? Do you disagree? If so, quickly adjust your prior stance. Giving up No. 1 in 6 and a standout WR, even if he's petulant, for No. 30-32 in 5 = demonstrably stupid. Keep the comp pick if he re-signs, or see if he can be convinced to stay with a new non-Shedeur QB.
    • It's impossible to say if he would have looked elite... I guess if you're saying he wouldn't be in the discussion of one of the best QBs in the league with us, probably true, lol, but I think he'd probably still show that talent. We don't know how that offense runs with CJ... Dalton made it look pretty decent in his one start. I doubt that CJ has the season he had with the Texans, but he also elevated Nico Collins a ton and took a journeyman in Noah Brown to his highest YPR of his career (4 more than any other year before it).
