It is what it is. Thankfully the Panthers didn’t sign Al Villanueva. Dude is bad guy to have around in the locker room and def a selfish player who doesn’t put the team first due to his own personal agenda.

What are you talking about the guy put his life on the line for you to bad mouth him.I would take Villanueva on a team any day

This is great. Shows that good OT dont just grow on trees. They tried, but not much out there.

Riley Reid and Joe Haeg are both better and cheaper than Cam , but you are right to get the All Pro we are going to have to spend a 1st Rounder but will go DE next year just watch

I thought I would grab the most expensive left tackle free agents and grab data to see how the signings compare so far.   It includes their current PFF for whatever it is worth.

Let’s see the rookies that we could’ve had in the draft like Slater, Spencer Brown, Leatherwood, Cosmi, Mayfield and others.

Maybe at some point.  Slater, Brown and Cosmi are doing well I think.
Leatherwood and Mayfield aren't (30s pff, 4sacks or more, 5 penalties or more).

I know Darrisaw ( pick 23) and Jenkins(pick 39)  have played 28 snaps between them.

Dump our cap into Terron Armstead and Connor Williams in free agency and draft the best Center available.

Boom offensive line is fixed.

I also don't think it's going to be that horrible to fix the OL next year.

With a 1st round pick at interior OL (G/C) we could get a very good rookie.  Top interior linemen usually go starting in rounds 2 or 3.  Guards and Centers selected in the first round are often exceptional prospects.

I hope so.  I wonder if they will try to trade down in the first since we don't have a 2nd rounder.

At this point it seems Cameron Erving is the least of our worries. The interior specifically the two OG spots have been horrific.

Hopefully he continues to be a serviceable LT for the rest of the season.

You're right, Riley's PFF is higher.   Riley actually costs 50% more than Cam.  Riley is 7.5M for 1 year, Cam is 10M for 2 years.   But we should be willing to pay more for this position.

Haeg hasn't seen the field much, in fact he has 1/3 of the snaps of Cam.  On that alone his value drops substantially.  I'm not saying by season end that Haeg won't turn out to be better than Cam.  He might.

How does he compare to Jason Peters? Peters had a brutal game against the Browns but outside that he’s been pretty solid in comparison and I don’t think the Bears paid much for him.

Jason Peters    39 yo  1.8M   1year    PFF 73  Penalties:1  Sacks: 3

Looks like Peters is kicking ass, especially for a 39 year old lineman.  The dude was drafted in 2004.  He's allowed 2 more sacks than Cam on 20 fewer snaps, but PFF loves him.
