The Eagles have a top 10 defense in terms of yards, and top 3 in terms of passing yards.

We were down our LG and LT, so  we moved our RT to LT and had a 3rd round rookie have his first NFL start at RT.  We were out our starting safety and linebacker, oh, and did I mention that our biggest offensive weapon, that about 60% of our offense runs through, was out?  And still we would have won if we had just played a little better.

Lets see who is healthy this Sunday.

Shoulda woulda coulda. They were a 1 win team motivated to win while we folded even when they tried to give us the game.

You know, I can't read your posts, frank but I see a little line where you post and they're always right after mine.  Makes me feel good, that I'm under your skin and you're just following me around like a little puppy barking and whining, and I don't have to read your crap.  Because you're on ignore.

the eagles gave up over 80 points the previous 2 weeks and were missing just as much starters as were were.

That's cute. We both know you read them if you can find the opportunity to habitually poop on them like your pal hubby.

Their offense is 3rd in the league in turnovers dude.  Pts<>Yards due to short fields.  Yards is a better measure.

Which player that 60% of their offense go through was out?

Yards are better measure than points? In what universe????

The eagles are a mediocre team by all accounts and we just lost to them

So the Ravens with Lamar Jackson are in QB limbo?

So the Cowboys with Dak are in QB limbo?

I mean...if we're measuring the ability to win the SB, those two(at least) are lacking that mainly 'cause they haven't even been able to get there.

The requirement for QB limbo is having a QB who has had plenty of time in the league to show off a high level of talent, but instead has showed they are inconsistent (a game manager), or are lower tier (bottom of the NFL in stats).

Having a QB who is great doesn't automatically mean a SB win is only a matter of time. Only some great QBs win SBs, but only teams with great QBs win SBs in this era, with maybe an extremely rare exception. Just look at the last 20 or so SB winning teams. See the QBs?

We're in limbo with Sam. There is no getting out of limbo so long as Sam is the QB.

Thats why you look at both. PPG can be good, but teams can also get points off of 20 yard drives. Yards can be good, but teams can give up a ton of yard in garbage time.

So you're saying the Eagles gave up a ton yards in garbage time...when they lost?  Huh?  Forget it. You're not going to explain that one away.  Your example contradicts your claim and doesn't make any sense.

All stats need context.

I gave the context for the points and yards discrepancy by citing turnovers.  You gave no context for anything you cited, you just cited 80 points without noting those points were to the Chiefs and Cowboys.  The Eagles limited the 9ers to 17 and Falcons to 6, and of course the Panthers to 18.

You just don't want to look at context.  You want to look at stats that support your worldview.

I'm not saying for one single game bro, I'm saying overall. You cant just look at one stat, I did not even read your other post before that one but I can go back and read it if you like. I was not calling you out or anything.

    • Watching Rams/Eagles. Celebrating the St Louis Rams team that won the SB (Warner, Holt, etc..) while playing in Los Angeles seems wrong.  If I were in Los Angeles, no way I would attend a Rams game.  Probably wouldn't attend a Chargers game either.  Becoming a fan of a team that likes to move around just seems like a waste of energy as a fan.
    • The only responses I am getting after providing statistics to put opinions in perspective seem to be from people who get angry and attack stats and people whose opinions differ from their own.  Have people on the Huddle ever overreacted, exaggerated, been wrong about players before?  Sure they have, so an alternative opinion with statistical support should not cause you to attack me or my views.  I am sorry your public schools failed you.  But your reactions are very revealing--you are stuck in Piaget's concrete operational stage--learn logic, how to debate a topic, and learn the difference between facts and emotional opinions.  When I paralleled Cam's stats with Jones' to point out how remarkably similar their careers have been to this point, It blew some 40 watt minds.  I think Jones, in a better situation, could be good--that should not upset you--
    • penalties and poor hands is what cost us in the RZ Bryce missing "high" in the back of the end zone is not an issue, you're taught as a QB to throw high in the back of end zone were only the receiver can catch or no one The duo of Ian Thomas and Tommy tremble can both go at the end of the season, both been here for multiple seasons and they've barely developed
