Gilmore is still a good corner, but I suspect this move is to help the Patriots save cap space. Also, it is a typical Patriots move letting veterans go and managing to replace them with mid round talent and other teams castoffs. 

I'm happy with Gilmore for a 6th rounder. Good addition!
