Panthers' Stewart, Williams questionable for Thursday

I don't think DWill has taken a beating this season. He had the least amount of carries out of the top 10 RBs last season, he will be ok. Plus I don't think Fox is as dumb as Mike Smith to run him into the ground. Perhaps we get to see some Mike Goodson tomorrow?

i know i mentioned carries, but the punishment he's taken this season isn't necessarily based on more touches. outside of cedric benson, none of the top 10 backs in the league have touched the ball 200 times yet. he's on pace to have over 300 carries, but it's not excessive.

it's based on the obvious fact that he's been getting hit more often and harder than last season. that's a result of the better defenses he's running against.

Stewart's becoming our version of Tom Brady (constantly on the injury report).

Yet he still manages to shine. He won't last several years (in fact, I think D-Will will last longer), but he's still good.

He'll be alright. Injuries happen and the great ones come out of injuries shining (is Jake shining? lmao that's a matter of opinion I suppose).

Personally I think Stewart's weekly injury report is just Fox bullshit.

isn't it obvious?

the first 9 games last season...113 carries for 383 yards @ 3.3 ypc

this season...98 carries 466 yards @ 4.8 ypc

the competition last season was softer than this one's, yet it's possible stewart will break 1000 yards on 200 touches or less.

he is definitely healthy.

Either that or Superman is wearing Kryptonite and still dominating.

I wonder if the injury report mean they have like sore muscles in part of their body that is hurting. It sound like than a serious injury that would make them not play. Kinda like a bad cramp. But then, maybe Fox is just messing around to make opposing teams we play have a different plan to beat us when we trick them that our players are playing. :P

I don't post here much.

We all know that the average fan can never evaluate a player's "health" by looking at an NFL injury report.

As a person close to Stew I want to say that you all have NO idea what he (or any other player) goes through to be on the field. But that's what a 1st rounder and highly paid athelete is supposed to do. Look at the big picture. He isn't missing games. He's hardly fragile or unproductive. He and D-Will are leading the league in tamdem rushing and get along great. Their relationship is real and not fabricated.

You reserve the right to criticize him for the "lingering" injuries, but you don't know all the facts and never will. Show respect for all of these guys because they will have some injuries long after the NFL.

Go Panthers!

I was thinking the same.

We're just pointing out the obvious: he has been injured in some way since before he suited up in a Panthers uniform. It's definitely impressive that he can fight through those injuries and consistently play at a high level (which is why I'm not as worried about Stewart's injury as I am DeAngelo's -- we don't need two banged-up backs).
