Panthers' Stewart, Williams questionable for Thursday

(Observer News Services) Carolina Panthers running backs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams are both listed as questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Miami Dolphins.p/Stewart (achilles) missed practice on Monday and Tuesday before practicing in full on Wednesday. Williams (knee) showed up on the injury report Wednesday as a non-participant in practice.

Stewart has been injured since before we drafted him. He'll play.

I wouldn't push it with Williams unless we have to. Let's start off with Stewart and see how he does, maybe throwing Goodson in a bit here and there.

The injury regarding Williams is the same injury he had against the Saints when he tweaked his knee. D-WILL will definitely start.

I agree with you guys, but does anyone else want to see how Stewart would carry the whole load? That said, it wouldn't be a good idea until his injury stops lingering, if it ever does.

yes, and it's about time he got a break.

williams has taken a beating this season. what i don't understand is why.

he's on pace to carry the rock over 300 times this season, while stewart will touch the ball less than he did last season.

i thought an advantage of having 2 first round RBs was to keep both fresh and relatively healthy.

No. DWill will start as he should and get the bulk of the carries unless he can't go or isn't productive.

Stewart has been questionable since the beginning of the season, regardless if they have reported it, they have insinuated that he could be out/limited.

And D-Will was listed as questionable on Sunday as well.

It seems like they've been rotating them out fairly well the last few games though. Plus, they usually indicate to each other when they need to come out.

I don't think DWill has taken a beating this season. He had the least amount of carries out of the top 10 RBs last season, he will be ok. Plus I don't think Fox is as dumb as Mike Smith to run him into the ground. Perhaps we get to see some Mike Goodson tomorrow?
