Why on earth would we want a wake forest player on an NFL roster?

go Heels!

There are more current Wake players than UNC in the NFL top 100. There’s also more players on that list from football factories like Southern Methodist, Florida Atlantic, Minnesota State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Arkansas State, Samford than UNC. But great win against Duke last week!!

NFL top 100 - wtf is this? One of those stupid off season programs nobody watches? I can’t think of a wake SNORE-est player in the NFL.

He doesn’t have range over 50 and can’t get kickoffs to the end zone. He’s probably not an NFL kicker unless he can increase his range pretty significantly unfortunately. At minimum you would need a punter who can double as kickoff specialist and you’d have to be ok with never kicking over 50 yard FGs

He has the third highest number of touchbacks in the ACC this year.  He is not the best at it, but he certainly can get them into the end zone and does it more often than not.

Voted on by the players, so it sounds like they might have a bit of insight.

The most notable current player in the NFL that went to UNC is the trivia answer to “What QB will forever be known as the guy the Bears massively reached on ahead of Future Hall of Famer Patrick Mahomes”?

    • Just stop, man. All the college stats don't matter. Plenty of guys who put up big numbers in college flop in the NFL and you and I both know that there are 1st round and top 10 busts every year. While we definitely hope T-Mac isn't one and we hope he proves to be a great NFL WR, you can't assume poo about a rookie who hasn't played a down of NFL football yet.
    • therein lies the problem.  Carry on
    • Again, it's not about performance, it's purely a statement about his ability as a football player. Which right now, is better than Chark ever was, I don't understand how that is a controversial statement. This isn't someone who had a 1,500 yard season with a dozen touchdowns while being a threat the other team was afraid of on every snap.  It's literally a guy who had a couple good games and then was just peppered with targets in the others because the team had no other viable WRs and he still barely cracked 1,000 yards, and then was barely even a JAG for the rest of his career outside that one season. Just look at it this way, take names aside, you're saying a guy who's peak was 1,008 yards and 2nd best season was 706 yards, was a better football player at that time than a WR who was just taken in the Top 10 and had multiple teams trying to trade up to get them. That's beyond asinine thinking.  I'm genuinely not even sure Chark would make the argument himself if he was being completely honest and objective about it.
