Why are they even a team? I’m pretty confident if you did a count they would have the least amount of fans in the NFL.

And those fans are broke. My company has 50 branches across the country and the one that struggles by far the most despite having an excellent GM is the Jacksonville branch. The median household income there is one of the lowest in the country for any major media market and Jax has to compete for team loyalty with 2 other FL franchises, one of which is defending SB champs.

Don't get me wrong, I thought hiring Meyer was a dumb move on the part of Jacksonville.  I am not a fan of hiring college coaches for NFL teams, especially when they come from big programs where he main path to success is recruiting well.

But they had a bad team last year, and added a rookie qb this year.  They would likely be 0-4 regardless of who the coach is.

Ya the two things the NFL seem to have in short supply these days is good coaches and kickers.

Long story short, I was adopted & knew it since I can remember.

My mom's dad (a member of the 761st in WWII btw) had a friend/neighbor who was a member of the 332nd in WWII. Yes the Tuskegee Airmen.

I started randomly "adopting" people when I was about 5 & granddad died a year later. Mr./Cpt. J took over granddad duties whenever I was up there, he didn't have to, but did out if love & respect, so its in honor of him.

That's cool.  I was in the 332nd Air Expeditionary Group while deployed in Iraq with the A10s from the 23rd Fighter Group before Pope AFB closed.

This. I always wondered why Jacksonville. It's literally like giving Fayetteville a football team.

My company sells a product I almost guarantee you'd recognize. I've mentioned my role in the company before in other posts so for reasons of privacy I won't get more specific than that, but it's something you'd put on your home.

So you're not the guy who keeps trying to get in touch with me about my car's extended warranty? 🤔

    • His size could work against him…BUT Cam is a weird duck.  He was wired differently.  I would bet on the young Cam that could barely get dressed after a loss….that dude wouldn’t have quit easily IMO.  But that dude doesn’t exist anymore.
    • i got attacked by a housecat once. pretty terrifying.  i was at a friends house and the cat jumped on my lap. it was calm for a minute but then it turned on it's back and bit my hand and sunk it's claws into my arm, all four of them so i grab the thing and pull the thing off my arm, dragging it's claws down my arm. i finally get the crazy thing off and throw it on the ground then it grabs my leg (fortunately i was wearing jeans that day) and the owner, who has just been sitting there in shock watching this happen to this point, grabs the thing and carries it downstairs and throws it outside.  supposedly that cat had never done anything like that before. i had been over there a lot and never had any problems with that cat. but something happened to it and it was never the same. went completely mental. they kept it outside after that. one week they went on vacation for a few days and apparently a stray chow came around and when they got home, the chow had the cat trapped under a car. no telling how long it had been there.  they chased off the chow and the cat ran off and they never saw it again. then that chow came back and hung around for a while and was terrorizing the other animals, including an old horse they had in a pasture. it killed at least one cat that i know of. they called animal control on it and they found it under one of their outbuildings. they figured the only thing they could do is shoot the thing. they shot it with a shot gun and it took one blast and then went running towards the guy who shot it and had to shoot it again.
