Why we will have a winning record this year

We just played Dallas at the hottest point we're likely to see them all year. They will be mediocre as always by the trade deadline. But right now? Riding high at 2-1, in their house, buying their own hype. And they escaped us with help from the refs, help from our OL who spent much of the game singing the 1984 hit Take On Me by a-ha, and Phil Snow's evil doppelganger Phillip Rain.

With all of that against us, they escaped by 8 on our worst day. Darnold threw for 300 yards and 2 tds while rushing for 2 more and damn near being our leading rusher, on his worst day.

So I don't wanna hear no fuging bullshit about how we got exposed. How we're not a winning record team. How we're not going to be competitive. We just battled back to put ourselves in a position to tie the game late after the deck was stacked against us, momentum was gone, we had no reason to fight....but we fought anyway.

This team has moxy. This team knows what it takes to win. This team is also dinged up. But none of that matters because at the end of the day, you either have heart or you don't. This team whipped theirs out and hung it out the window for the world to see. Either take yours out too or sit there trying not to stare at those of us dangling it from the window as we ride 485.

Keep fuging pounding

our next five games are very winnable

I remember John Fox would break down the season into 4x quarters.
The goal would be to win at least 3 out of 4 games each quarter, and you would end up 12-4…..he did that once I think. Lol. But that is how I try to look at a season. Right now we are at 3-1 which is pretty good considering we are just past the first quarter of the season. Also, our friends in the NFCS are not doing too great at the moment, se we are in good shape!

obviously taking one game at a time is most important, but I liked the approach to not getting too bogged down by losses, even a couple of 'em, if the team could rally for other wins in the 'quarter.'

a lot of nfl games aren’t decided by a large margin…just how it is. how many did we almost win last year, almost is getting tiring and yea this team isn’t ready yet…

aside from oline a kicker, giving it to cmc 40 time a game will be a great 4 games or so…just like last year

This offense needs an oline, depth and more creativity and balance. I mean look at Moore and Anderson this game being utilized…I get the oline sucks but was ignoring them (comparatively speaking) when we did have cmc really necessary?

defense is pretty complete but could really use a couple run stuffing specialists

all in all I agree not too shabby, but not ready at the same time

This game was a wake-up call, but in a good way. This team is very young. I believe they'll make adjustments and players will grow as the season progresses.

More like a kick back to reality. Just like last year.

Weak schedule. If they don’t finish above .500 something went terribly wrong

We just lost to a mediocre Dallas team and you're saying sub. 500 there is something wrong? I would say around. 500 is probably about right for this team.

Im not sure why you think Dallas is mediocre. They are probably top 3 in the NFC.

The OL will hold us back, but the D is a bigger reason we lost today.

They will win their division but definitely won't end top 3 my dude. I mean WFT might actually beat them out this year.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
