He put up 4x td today without great protection.. So what is your point??

Again your using garbage time numbers to prove a terrible point. With your logic Matt Ryan is still a top 5 QB and Goff is better than Darnold.

You do know more than half the league has terrible pass protection. I just saw Tannehill get sacked 5 times by the winless jets

Let's get real. If we go down by 7 early with Teddy 2 gloves at QB, the game is pretty much over. Sam has the ability to lead a comeback and drive the ball. Is he perfect, far from it. But for a 2nd round pick, yeah he's pretty fugging good so far.

Also let's mention this is his 4th real game playing in a new system with no coaching and teammates.. Is it supposed to be perfect right away??

Mahomes who carried his team to a SB with that same line? That Mahomes

your a clown

It wasn’t the same line…. That’s the point. The tackles got injured and he got crushed in the SB because of it. They traded for a new LT this year (because he struggled without one) and have been meh…

Not it wasn't it lead the league in TO and gave our offense great field position all year..

Just sto posting if you're not going to be factual..

2015’s defense quite literally hinged on like 2-3 players. Gave up MULTIPLE 30+ point games, and dragged the husks of Jared Allen, and Finnegan to a Super Bowl.

I think the only top 10-15 rankings came from the front 7 that year. Everywhere else the defense scored middle of the pack.

I wouldn't call Darnold's touchdowns garbage time plays. We were one play away from getting the ball back, but Dallas called a great play to ice the game. Just because Darnold threw some picks doesn't mean he's regressing to NY Darnold. He will have those games at some point in his tenure here with the Panthers.  I think he's shown already that the Jets were a hindrance to his career.

I think people like rico and Gooby were waiting for a game like this where Sam threw a pick or two and we lost so they can get on their soapboxes and proclaim that "ooooh...Sam isn't the answer!!  Let's get rid of him and go after a QB!! WOOOOO!!".

It's like they relish this moment or something.

They still count right?? And if we want to use that criteria alot of your favorite "franchise" lived off of garbage numbers and still consider them great.. Example  Drew Brees..
