Their offensive line can be had.

Smith and Martin are all pro, but the other 3 positions on the line are very suspect. The Saints Oline across the more were much better and we dominated and confused them. The Cowboys haven't faced a team that brings pressure the way we do. Philly, Tampa Bay, & Chargers are all in the bottom third of the league in pressuring the quarterbacks, the Panthers are #1 in that department.

If the Panthers Oline comes to play and gives Donald time we can move the ball against them, they have aggressive secondary that will gamble that has resulted in them getting interceptions but also leaves them vulnerable to the big play. Which they lead the league in giving up big plays.

All in all if the Panthers can stop the running game for the Cowboys, then I believe we will be able to put on pressure on Dak and contain the Cowboys passing attack.

Panthers 24

Cowboys 14

They love to run the ball.  They have 100 yards  more than we do rushing.  We have to stop the run.  If they can run, it is going to be a long day.

Their pocket time is the shortest in the league at 2.1s and their average air yards/per completion is 7th shortest at 4.8 yards.  They get the ball out fast on short passes.   If we don't play tight coverage on the early downs, they will dink and dunk down the field.  They do this to setup burns on deep passes.  Our DB's have to play smart.

On paper, our decent to good Offense vs. their weakish defense vs. our elite defense vs their elite offense.

That says to me:

Panthers 27

Cowturds 23

6th in run yards vs 26th in yards per carry for their defense says if we just run the ball efficiently and often the cowboys are going to have some real problems.

Especially right at them, their fast but the middle of the defense is their weak part. Both passing and running.

    • I haven't seen anything in particular over the weeks that gets me excited about Canales. I have seen some things that have made me skeptical.  Off the field, he's been somewhat of a flip-flopper, and he's also well-versed in saying nothing (after he gave us the feeling that he was going to be a breath of fresh air), so I don't know if you can take what he says at face value. Grade? TBD.
    • He was playing with 3 rookies, too. Do people honestly think we are playing with a full deck on offense??? Context matters Every win this team can get is beautiful  We need another good draft, FA, and getting Brown, etc healthy.  Maybe then we can be legitimately competitive next year, even against the top teams
    • Oh yeah, he wasn’t good, but Bryce against commanders and Chicago would have looked just as bad if not worse
