No Respect for the Panthers - What Cowboys Fans are Saying

I live in Texas and went out to lunch yesterday with some co-workers and a vendor rep I'm friends with. All Cowboys fans and know I'm a Panthers fan. The general consensus was, and a I quote "I think we're gonna kill them". I heard "Worst 3-0" team mentioned.

I mentioned the last time an undefeated Panthers team came to Dallas, they curb stomped the Cowboys on Thanksgiving and ended Tony Romo's career. One guy said "You're going to feel really bad if Dak breaks his ankle in this game". I would, because I like Dak, but I was just stating facts to some cocky Cowboys fans.

This game will be tough for both teams and I expect it to be close. But if the Panthers pull out the win, I have some people to text right after the game.

it’s really the offense I’m worried about with the cowboys. Dak is playing extremely well and is in full control of that offense. He gets the ball out quick like Brady. That can stifle our pass rush and get concerning because that is our bread and butter. Need to knock him out of rhythm and make him uncomfortable.

Chuba is going to have at least one long run for a score on Sunday.  He really impressed me in the extended look he got last game.  Also in the preseason.  Hes a homerun waiting to happen.

Hes absolutely good.  IDK how anybody can objectively say hes not.  Hes probably the most promising young QB in the game.  Well, him and Joey B.

BTW, I don't give a frick about the media, after all it's just a bunch of northeastern/ generally New Yorkers,  talking head types whose job it is to get you riled up so you'll listen to them.   Guess they've done there job with you.  A chill pill might ease your discomfort some.

I think everybody here knows deep down that the Cowboys are a talented team and are going to be our biggest test thus far.  People say dumb poo on the internet.  Its a fact of life. 

Anyways, heres to a good, hard-fought game with no injuries on either side.

Essentially Moore's offense.  Same terminology and foundation that started out with Garrett (who is and was a disaster).   Moore is very highly regarded around the league.  Pretty innovative and stays within what the defense is giving him.  It's not about piling up stats.  Most people make all their assessments based on that without seeing the big picture.

A lot of knowledgeable Cowboy fans (yeah, all 5 of us) want Fat Mac gone.  He's always screwing up in game management situations, mostly clock management.  It'll cost us.  He has one job during games and regularly screws that up.

I'd be real careful with that sort of prediction.  Our line is second worst in the league in yards before contact in the run game.  That's not great for a back like Chuba who is looking to pick a hole, make one cut and hit it.

I agree, Chuba has homerun potential.  I am just not convinced our current OLine can get him the holes he needs to maximize his potential.  I'd feel a lot better about our run game (in the absence of CMC) with a back like Mike Davis who can get yards after contact.

I never implied that Herbert isn't good.   I was more referring to the excuses Cowboys fans will come up with should they lose to the Panthers this Sunday.

The "blue print" that the Chargers executed was the typical two high safety look to stop or slow down the passing attack. The same way most play Aaron Rogers and other passers. That invites the run and underneath throws. I don't think Snow will go two high safeties.
