Richard Marshall

What is everyone's opinion on Mr. Marshall. He is a restricted free agent at the end of the season, and his agent said few years ago he will be looking for a monster contract. I for one am not a huge fan of him and it seems like he blows a lot of coverage. He is an above average tackler, but there is somethig about him I do not like.

How does everyone feel about him?

Ehh I like the guy..but not worth more than 3,4 million a year imo..I think we could easily get a better option..

he's not great, but he's not bad either. if we can hang onto him for a legit price, then it makes more sense to keep him... if he demands a big contract and other/better options are available, send him packing.

I like him a lot as a player. He's a solid corner and he's been making plays for us for years. He will only get better with Meeks running the D, too. If he's trying to get an outrageous contract, though, then I'd let him go. It would be very much like Hurney to shell out more money than he deserves, though. Our FO likes to keep our vets around, regardless of the price.

I'd love to keep him, but if he leaves then we have some guy wearing #41 that will fill in just fine.

New position in a new system, I think he's played very well and I like thee physical nature of his game. I think his coverage has been better than Gambles to date.

really? i thought Gamble has played great this season. Other then the New Orleans game and him overplaying a pass on Roddy White last game, I thought he has been great.

I say let him go and get the compensatory for him. He might thrive in another system and we're compensated nicely.

Hes good, but Captain has shown flashes that he may become a very very legit corner. I dont think that we can afford to have Marshall and Gamble locked up in giant contracts....seeing as how Thomas Davis is due to get paid as well.

He's slightly above average. I say if there's a better player to be had then ****** him up.

He's not worth a monster contract but he is a excellent tackler and he carries a chris harris like tenacity with him. However, he is clearly second-fiddle to gamble and if he can't accept that he would be happier somewhere else.

In my opinion, he's another Ricky Manning Jr. Seems to be in the right place at the right time a lot but don't believe he is a big contract guy. Maybe a 2 or 3 year deal and see what happens from then.
