Let's say we somehow manage a winning record...

Look at it this way: We went from 1-15 into 7-9 under Fox in 2002. We went into the Super Bowl in 2003. We managed to finish 7-9 in 2004 even though we had the "Super Bowl Hangover" & lost 10+ players all throughout that season. We were successful in reaching the NFC Championship game in 2005. 2006 was all drama, finishing 8-8 & we didn't have the weapons Dan Henning wanted. 2007 was 7-9, but mostly b/c Jake was down, losing our main leader & still didn't have a great RB (even though Williams had a few flashes). 2008 was awesome, finishing 12-4 w/ our new "Double Trouble" but lost in the playoffs b/c our OC chose the wrong plays to run. Do you so called "fans" still want Fox to be fired???

If we end up having a winning record then we we will have gone 5-2 the rest of the year. That would mean we went 9-4 over the last 13 games after an 0-3 start. Given how difficult this schedule is after last year's much easier one, I would think this would go down as his second best coaching job after the 2004 season. Not only do we have a tough schedule and had to deal with a new defensive scheme, but we had some season ending injuries to key players like Kemo, Davis and Gross as well as a ton of missed games by other guys due to injuries. And some guys like Peppers are playing injured with a broken hand.

I thought we would go 10-6 at best this year. If we even get close after our disasterous start, it will be a huge feat. The next 3 weeks will tell the tale starting with tomorrow night.
