We've been getting VERY fortunate with the injury/COVID bug early on this season.

i'm sure we're the only team ever to benefit from this

no one said otherwise, but it's part of the sport.

but also it's the texans, this doesn't change a ton besides one really good skill player being out.

Winning the injury lottery is a big part of competing for SBs. It's hard to win the SB when that sumbitch bites you.

Exactly... we are going to have a 4-week gauntlet at the end of the year with the Bills in Buffalo, The Bucs in Charlotte, the Saints in New Orleans, and finishing with the Bucs in Tampa.

We will have a chance to show where we fit in the league hierarchy then... until then...

This is a young team that needs to continue to get better and more confident.  Being able to stack wins, regardless of the circumstances, is the best thing for now.

If we go 2-2 in those last four games, that will tell us ALOT about the progress of this franchise.  Gotta learn to win in December, like all the other big boy teams.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
