They've yet to play a complete game. They have done fair in the first half of each game but struggled in the 3rd quarter in both. They were able to come alive in the 4th quarter in both games when things got uncomfortable. They will not get away with that against stouter opponents.

Agreed. They have done well in the first half while also leaving points on the field. So their good could have been great. The 3rd quarter play has been abysmal as a whole. We have got to get that figured out. I'm hoping we put a hurt on the Texans and the scoreboard actually reflects it. That will give me a lot of hope going forward.

In what world do you automatically mark a W because of Taylor? lol.

Lol an automatic win if they had Taylor starting I want what that guy is smoking.

While there's some typical fan hyperbole, the Texans had a real shot of winning that game against Cleveland before Taylor went out. But its moot because Taylor isn't playing.

I don't think the outcome is in doubt at all. I just hope we come out of it free of injuries. The Injury Bug really seems to be hitting the league hard to start the season.

This is my big concern, too. Thursday games always seem to have more injuries. I just hope we don't lose anyone.

I wouldn't say we struggled to beat the Jets... It was closer than we as fans want, but I don't think that final score reflects the game.

We should win Thursday but I wouldn't be surprised if it's much closer than we want. Although I'd love to finally stop making rookie/backup QBs look like All-stars...

We’re playing our 3rd straight game against a QB that didn’t start a game last season.
Sometimes the breaks just fall your way.

Because the stars and planets aligned, we look to be a year ahead of schedule in possibly making the playoffs. ( homer talk 🤣 )

SCP did mention the helmet was pointed towards Bank of America stadium before the season started.  That helmet has never let us down

The Texans have looked a lot better than I expected them to. I expected them to be a clear favorite for the number 1 draft pick due to the mismanagement of their front office. The browns are legit and they put up a fight. But without Tyrod I just don't see them having the offense to keep them in. My only concern is that we may continue this trend where we allow other teams to stay in 2015 style and then rely heavily on the defense to hold the entire second half. As long as we continue to tackle as well as we have I like our chances.

my biggest worry is we play limp against the Texans and keep it unnecessarily close.

I know this team is young but I want them to learn how to go for the jugular and start blowing games open.  Don't allow the other team to keep things close !

When we get a lead - thump their QB.   Have guys in his face play after play.

No soft prevent defense play-calling.   Stay aggressive all game on defense.

Going full throttle on every play will last about 6-8 games before your team is decimated with injuries and you are then getting your ass kicked the rest of they way.

It sounds great in philosophy but difficult to survive in application.  There are ways to still dominate without getting your guys wore down and injured unnecessarily.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
