Stop opponents on 3rd down.  A good formula for winning football!  (Panthers offense still pretty inconsistent on their own 3rd down conversions, but the defense has been very consistent).

Sam's Next Gen Stats Passing Chart:  He seems to be improving on intermediate & deeper throws each week.  Love to see it.

 

Sam's deeper passing stats were a new career high:

Darnold finished 9/11 for 198 yards on passes traveling 10+ air yards, completing +24.7% of passes over expected according to our completion probability model, a new career-high.

Smart, mistake free football with just enough home run shots is the recipe.  That’s how Sam succeeds.

Panthers offense in the 2nd half was so efficient.  Had 1 TD drive (9 or 10 plays?) in which they never faced 1st down, and they did a pretty great job of staying ahead of the chains the whole half.  TMJ and Dan Arnold did have 2 clutch 3rd & long conversions though when they were needed.
