"Sam needs preseason reps, this coaching staff is clueless."

I don't get how people are downplaying that dominating win. That game yesterday was a game we usually lose in the past. Remember when the Saints were without their top 3 receivers and STILL beat our ass last year? Remember when the Saints were without Brees and Luke McCown sliced and diced our defense and would have had a walk off win if not for Josh Norman leaping 8 feet in the air to get an int? I don't care who they were missing, we fuggin held them to their LOWEST yard total in the Sean Payton era. That sh*t was impressive.

Man, some of y'all are really cocky after beating possibly the worst team in the league in week one and a Saints team missing half their roster and coaching staff in week two.

I'm happy to be 2-0, but I'm not about to start getting cocky just yet.

So what you want is for all of us to be like you :

Wait for the other shoe to drop and then we'll suck.

Sorry but some of us like a little optimism in our lives.

Thanks.

He had at least three "turnover worthy throws" today

sticks out was the quick hitter to moore in double coverage, and another in the first half he forced to the left.

The latter was a bad throw.

The former was a very tight window THAT HE GOT THROUGH to DJ who just couldn't hang on.

It was right on his hands, too.

That was a good pass even though it was of the high-degree-of-difficulty variety and was into Double Coverage.

Sam played a great game today.

The Dallas, Philly, Minny stretch will tell us if we should get excited or not IMO

Hey CRA.

Remember how Sam had trouble throwing the Intermediate passes in the Game 1?

How did he do in Game 2 in your eyes as far as those passes?

No complaints about Sunday.  He went 6 for 8 on the intermediate routes with a TD I believe.  That’s what you got to be able to do.

    • Can he get to 100+ yards passing by halftime? It seems impossible for him. He shows off in garbage time when the opposing defense lets up. I agree with everyone else about the eye test, he routinely fails that. The best eye test thing I saw from the Giants game was he actually stood tall in the pocket some, even stepping up in the clean pocket to make the pass. Keep doing that and throwing with anticipation and maybe it'll work out some for him. But I just don't have much hope for him long-term.
    • This is not ok, its never going to be ok. This is why people mess with this site
    • His style of play is limited by his physical ability, hence, the field of play is condensed. we need someone who can make all the throws. If this team is content with winning 9 games a season, every other season, relying heavily on premium offensive talent…  Bryce’s ceiling is maybe 1-2 games above .500, as long as he is surrounded by playmakers. The whole point of a franchise QB is to make B- talent look like pro-bowlers, and load up the defense with capital you didn’t have to spend on the O. We have that equation exactly ass backwards.
