Because they have a delusional fanbase that thinks their program’s past makes them still an elite program, like Michigan Football and Indiana Basketball fans and that any coach that wouldnt come crawling to them is a fool

they dont have the resources teams like Bama, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas etc have and the whole “recruiting hotbed” argument is moot because all of the elite programs these days recruit nationally anyways

Oh, they definitely have very significant resources. I'd have no desire to live in SoCal, but other than that USC is an ideal powerhouse coaching opportunity. An overall weak power five conference is a competitive advantage. Yes, that recruiting hot bed is very much an advantage. They've been down for several years so immediate expectations wouldn't be crushing. If say Nick Saban retired and you took the Bama job the expectation would be to compete for a national championship year one in a crowded conference. That wouldn't be the case at USC. Unless you're a total dumpster fire as long as it looks like you have the bus headed back in the right direction you're probably not going to have major expectations and potentially be facing the hot seat until year three.

USC is an ideal situation IMO, with the one huge caveat being that I know absolutely nothing about the institution other than that it has supported a powerhouse football program in relatively recent years.

@rayzor, here's the one you missed.

Meh, I want to let him survive to take his drubbing when Teddy inevitably hits the wall again 5-6 games in. Then we can ban him.

He'll hit the wall even harder in Denver. I've been to a LOT of games at Mile High. Way more at Mile High than at BOA. Post-Halloween there's almost always considerable wind. Those dying ducks won't come close to cutting it.

Fair enough.

Maybe not, TB is actually a fine QB for a team that actually has top to bottom talent that D has...they just been missing a QB. TB wasn't good enough to put a shart team like the Panthers over, especially with CMC out.
The idiocy/trolling just has nothing to do with the Panthers as he was never going to be a long term answer and still isn't for Denver he's just an average QB that dont' usually lose games and literally never wins games for you.

Wait for it. There's a reason Elway always looked for a big armed QB and it wasn't just because he had a helluva arm himself. He played in Denver. He knows you have to be able to drive the ball through that cold wind. Early in the season it's usually quite pleasant playing conditions. That generally takes a considerable turn for the worst come November.

Denver will be drafting a QB in the first round almost certainly. TB just doesn't have that ability to win games. Like he actually would be a perfect backup though

No doubt they will likely want to...

but I doubt their will be the prospects in the next draft to accommodate all the teams that will want to draft a first round caliber QB.  Probably 11 teams or so could be in the market to snag a QB high.

Well the rules are skewing things way too heavy in one direction so even lesser QBs are able to do some things they didn't used to be able to do so that extends it slightly. But even still you don't even have close to 32 teams having a good QB so thats pretty interesting in its own right.

What teams were you looking at for a QB? We have a bunch just go this year and then like Jimmy G will probably be out and could be a legit starter for a team.
