A club cast on a corner..... That will hamper his ability to tackle and intercept.... I'm Thinking DJ will be matched up on him all day.

yeah, I think could still defend the pass a little bit, but tackling might be an issue.  I run right at him and throw in front of him and make him be the one who has to tackle.

Doesn’t change the fact that our o-line is trash and will probably cost us this game.

Actually, I'm not sure if our o-line really is trash anymore. They withstood the Jets front four pretty well (and that's a good group). This game should tell us a lot, though, as the Saints are pretty good up front. If they can keep it to two sacks or less on Darnold, that could be a good sign.

Last week they were decent to good, but can they hold up with the Saints defensive backs making the routes slower and the openings fewer?

Get DJ and CMAC in space in front of him and make him tackle..... With the collective injuries they have this game hangs on Elflein IMO.

Defensive end Marcus Davenport (shoulder) and linebacker Kwon Alexander (elbow) were both placed on injured reserve Friday, meaning they will be sidelined for at least three weeks. Center Erik McCoy (calf) and backup linebackers Pete Werner (hamstring) and Chase Hansen (groin) were also ruled out for Sunday's game.

5 players out...3 starters looks like?

Good thing he's at Corner and not rushing the QB...otherwise, he could use that club as a weapon or something on Sam.

The list of assistant coaches not with the New Orleans Saints for their game Sunday vs. the Carolina Panthers grew on Saturday.

The Saints announced that defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen and pass rush specialist Brian Young will not be with the team for its second game of the season due to NFL COVID-19 protocols.

Saturday's announcement brings the team total to eight coaches unavailable this week, and the Saints will be missing at least three starters because of injuries

Their injury situation is worse than expected apparently.

SAINTS

OUT: LB Kwon Alexander  (elbow), DE Marcus Davenport (shoulder), LB Chase Hanson (groin), C Erik McCoy (calf), LB Pete Werner (hamstring)

QUESTIONABLE: S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson (knee), DE Tanok Kpasagnon (calf), CB Marshon Lattimore (hand), S PJ Williams (back)

That's 3 LBs and a DE definitely out. LB depth should be tested tomorrow. Also, even if every questionable player plays on Sunday they have 3 DBs and another DE that are playing with injuries.

Our offense will need to step up and take advantage of this situation this week. The opportunity for the upset is there.

I mean stat, wise they’re pretty close…the Jets dline is the best part of the Jets team, but not a great unit overall. Best part of a miserable team doesn’t mean much.

Overall the oline ranked 19, but ranked the worst in the league time wise for pass protection. The worst…like bottom (already a thread on this).

Just like last year a truly good dline (was the Saints last year as well) will expose just how god awful the oline really is.
