The TD pass to Anderson was a rare throw.

This is also not an offence where you're asking your QB to make insane throws a lot.

rare?

Anderson was wide open, and had to slow up.

If it would have been tight coverage it probably would have been an incompletion.

A rare throw is when your WR is covered but the QB puts it in the one little spot where the WR can catch it.

Don't get me wrong, it was a nice completion, but not what I would consider a big time throw.

This. Darnold missed the throw to Darnold and he missed the throw to Marshall on the out route in the endzone. He should've had three TD passes.

Am I missing something? Thomas had to reach up for it, but it looked light it bounced right out of his hands. I was at a sports bar in TN so I was not super close to the TV, but I was definitely cursing Thomas under my breath…

He barely got fingertips on it. He was wide open. It was an awful throw. It would've been a circus catch if he could've made it.

Darnold moved to escape pressure and threw a ball 50 yards down field... And the opposite side at that.

It was a rare throw.

Hands on the ball should be a completed pass.  Was is a little high?  Yes.  Was it able catchable?  That's a yes as well.

Not how it works, just cause Thomas got his outstretched hand on it with his fingertips doesn’t mean a catch.

They showed the clear replay

I thought he had his hands on it and it bounced around after.  It was a little high but I didnt think it was uncatchable.  I may be wrong tho.

    • I think it will be hard to not go edge in the second if we go QB first. Say you have Starks, one of Bond/Egbuka, and maybe one Edge (don't have a name to throw out that is end of 1st round projected and may slide)... do you still go Starks? Just curious. I haven't looked into starks much, as I've been focused on QB, WR, and DL prospects.
