We had that last year if not for Joey Slye.  He straight up lost us 2 games.  This team is better than last year's team.

Better schedule too.  We win 10 games.

I am writing this inside a cave right now, so that when archeologists find it in 2000 years, they will say, "This MHS neanderthal was right."

Quick comment on the Panthers by Albert Breer in the latest MMQB...

One team I think is better than people realize: Carolina. If the Panthers can figure things out at linebacker and left tackle, I think you’ll see Matt Rhule’s program working in a weakened NFC South.

Part of the problem is the market the Panthers are in. When teams are being evaluated, let's just face it, the Panthers are not a sexy team, which means most articles written about the Panthers are lacking depth. Part of that is just lazy reporting.

Peter King usually does a pretty good job covering all teams, even if he has a northeast bias. He has the Panthers as a near .500 team with either eight or nine wins and points out that the last month of the season is going to be incredibly tough.

The Panthers really need to win early to have a shot at the playoffs. I agree with King.

And u all of a sudden think Santoso is the answer? Idk how but the oline got worse from last year as well.

Santoso may not be the answer but he has yet to prove he's the consistent problem like Slye was.

We are going to be in contention for a wildcard spot this year.  I feel it

I'm not ready to buy that.

I could see us being better than expectations.

I could also see us being an improved team but that not being reflected in the win-loss record.

100% agree. This is year two of the rebuild. Last year, with one of the least talented rosters in Panthers history, I thought we exceeded expectations. If we just show improvement from last season, I am not going to get caught up on the W/L record. Especially with a potential disaster brewing in our starting QB and OL. That can easily torpedo a season even if we are a better overall team.

Show improvement from 2020 and I am good.
