I thought for sure a trade for at least an average left guard was a certainty. Everyone and their mother knows Elfein is horrid.

I'm choosing to remain optimistic that the "answer is on the roster". I suspect we'll see some line shuffling pretty quickly. Brady and likely Brown will likely end up starting on the line eventually, I just don't see any way that they don't beyond bullheaded stubbornness from the coaching staff and they have shown the opposite of such inclinations in the past.

Rhule said in an interview that they graded Christensen as a 2nd round tackle but a FIRST ROUND GUARD......

BECAUSE THEY ARE ROOKIES! And not first round, ready to go rookies at that. Give them some damn time and give the coaches/GM a little credit. They’ve shown that they know what they’re doing so far. At least more than a bunch of fans on a message board.

Brown and Christensen are our top OL that ride the bench.  I take it Rhule wants to ease them in but that could cost us games/starting QB.

Remember when they started Whitehead for almost an entire season while this board was screaming that his backup was much better only to find out when they finally benched him his backup was indeed much better and the starter this season?

If starting QB gets hurt, they won’t be looking so smart.
