G Forrest Lamp has ties to our OL coach Pat Meyer

Lamp has had a torn ACL and broken tibia since being in the league. Was drafted by the Chargers and coached by Pat Meyer. Started all 16 games last season and led the league in total snaps. Was a second round pick. Bills just released him, would not be surprised if we pick him up.

Had thought that he would be one of the offseason targets, but then Elflein was signed

Don't know how close he is to playing, but we can't go into the season without at least trying to upgrade across the entire offensive line.  Only positions I feel like are in decent shape at RG & RT.

Lamp has a good bit of experience playing LG, which may be the worst position on the line right now (even over LT)

If I had to guess I could just about guarantee that he’s never fully recovered from his injuries and wouldn’t be worth signing.
