i'll take it. for years we've complained about how it always feels receivers are already being strangled by the time they get the ball in their hands - it's nice to see guys consistently running free after the catch.

this is probably a combination of competent receivers, good ball placement, and a coaching staff whose philosophy isn't eXeCuTiOn

Darnold rarely had more than those 2.6 seconds, it seemed.

He will need to stretch the field at some point, but he showed the arm strength to fit the ball in tight windows, and place it in a great place for yac.

Yep. And unlike Teddy, Sam has a way bigger arm that can take advantage of this. I can't tell you how many times last year Teddy missed a WIDE OPEN DJ Moore deep.  Didn't even look his way. Sam will be more willing to let it fly.

Let defenses key in on CMC if they want to, we have some big time playmakers at WR now that will make you pay. God this offense has the potential.
