Just heard that Smiths injury was significant which likely puts him on IR.  I think that who can return kicks and punts will decide those last roster spots.

He's posting the game highlights on his IG stories so must be on the optimistic side. IR is pretty flexible still this year, 3 week minimum, no limit on number of players returning

Doubtful. We are either gonna keep Ian or try and trade him. He wouldn’t have been starting on the first drive yesterday if not.

I can't imagine who would trade for Thomas, but then we got something for Little so who the hell knows.

I doubt the coaching staff believes any of these players are PS worthy otherwise we would not have cut them this early. We are the 1st NFL team today to announce any cuts

A lot of teams are playing tonight, so we've got a head start on them.

Yeah the first cuts aren't usually invited back to be PS players. As I said with Fisher - great instincts, but just not athletic enough for the NFL. Shame really.

Rivera? The fact he was a one yesterday tells me he’s safe. Tremble is probably the 1b in this situation for a year.

David Moore makes it easily. I don't know if Smith is going to have to go on IR.

I thought the same...then I checked his contract...we save 3.5 mill over the next 2 years if we cut him.  We'll see.  I was hoping to see more of him in preseason but it is a crowded position.

    • Nailed it! Chiefs got #10 overall (and selected Mahomes) and sent the Bills #27, #91, and a 2018 first-rounder (ended up being #18) to pick the QB that has kept them out of the Super Bowl. 💀 Tbf to the Bills tho, they turned those picks into Tre'Davious White, Dion Dawkins, Tremaine Edmunds, and Siran Neal. Three out of four hits ain't bad at all, but that one for one for KC... ooh wee mayne.
    • Yep. Happens to a lot of talented kids. I just think a lot of people don't understand that just because this kid is super talented doesn't mean he's going to make it to the pros. Most of them won't. Some will get injured. Some will run into trouble off the court/field. Some won't put in the work. The catering greatly increases the odds of the latter two. Then most will simply just not be good enough to make it to the pros. Either way, it all adds up to a long shot and the kids need to have solid plan Bs. A few years back my HS had the #1 RB recruit on the nation. He originally committed to UGA but flipped to Bama and was getting decent playing time as a true freshman before obliterating his ankle. He was never the same again after that. Never made it to the pros. Not sure what happened to him but evidently he wasn't the brightest bulb and was basically just getting passed through school to stay academically eligible. I don't think he was a bad kid, never really heard anything like that. He just wasn't all that bright and all the eggs were in the football basket.
