Looks like Stafford not wanting to come to Carolina is the reason he wasn't traded to the Panthers.

Yep. Plus if what Mr Scott said about his wife is true, well, the decision would be even easier.

Hopefully in 5-7 years, the Panthers have their franchise QB and won't need a Prescott, Watson, or whoever. And maybe a franchise LT too.🙏

Yeah, that's obviously the ideal scenario. But it would be nice to just be one of those teams that if we wanted to make that kind of splash signing at the most important position in football, we could get an elite QB to come here because we are a contender.

That's why I want to see. Players WANT to come here because they see an opportunity to get a ring.

I get the feeling that if Taylor Moton doesn't wind up being our left tackle of the future, our top priority for next offseason is going to be finding that guy.

I wish I could believe that.

True.

Regardless of whether it's quarterback or left tackle though, I think our top priority next offseason gets addressed via the draft, not free agency.

I wish I could believe that too.

I'd like to believe they are smart enough to draft top talent next year if the Oline proves to be an issue this year. They proved to be smart enough to take a top CB when that position has been poorly addressed for years. That gives me some hope.

We'll see if it pans out though...

I'll believe it when I see it. For better or worse, these guys have their own ideas about how they want to build this team, what is a priority and the direction they want to take.

I don't care if they don't do it the way I would have, as long as the results are what we want them to be.

Time will tell. They seem to be quick to remedy their mistakes, so we don't have to go into each offseason KNOWING that some things will never change, like the Rivera years.

Well, the rams have all the pieces (except a proven rb now that akers is out which obviously wasn't known when he signed with them) and could be a contender this year.

The Panthers are super young and were certainly a less sure bet for him.  I probably would make the same call if I were in his shoes.
