But you repeated the nonsense.

Mostly because it lingers. As @kungfoodudesaid, people were still talking about this nonsense as recently as a few days ago.

Ive started (only two weeks in) doing a sarcastic “This week I learned on the huddle” series of posts to point out the dumbest huddle theories in an effort to combat the constant poo posting. Mods aren’t going to clean it up and I definitely understand and respect that decision.

But that means we have to combat it. Thus people saying “Darnold is being coddled and PJ Walker should be the starter” before PJ goes out and completes 1/8 passes for 8 yards get called out. And as I said to @kungfoodude I respect that people have opinions but I’ve grown really tired of the constant negativity that has absolutely NOTHING supporting it. So if I can make that poo seem stupid (such as when Robby says he loves this team and it’s a dream to be here despite posters saying he’s demanding a trade to not play with Sam) I’m going to call it out.

Well said but @ladypanther has a point. We've called them out and none have shown up to at least admit they were incorrect, so let them pretend they didn't start or repeat that ignorant poo. This is one dead horse that can stop being beaten.

As you are well aware, by the first 10 minutes of Friday's game there will be declarations of "best football team ever" and "worst football team ever" and "start this guy" and "cut that guy." Plenty of other ignorant poo to harp on. I'm gonna let this issue go after I have gotten to vent about it for the past couple of days.

That’s very true. And it’s a valid point. I do think those BOLDLY making the absurd claims and refusing to waiver will start getting tagged in the ThisWeekILearned posts. Maybe not tagged but at least name dropped with a quote or two attached lol.

The idea isn’t to act demeaning towards them or call them stupid. I’ve had some TERRIBLE opinions regarding this team. I did not like the Cam or Luke picks. Obviously those opinions didn’t age well, but the differences are that I own it and I never lambasted the team for making those picks which is something that happens here constantly.

The idea (which is probably unrealistic but worth a shot and is good for a laugh anyway) is that maybe it slows down the nonsense troll posts. It probably won’t. Especially as easy as it is to make alt accounts. But it’s worth a shot. And I think it will at least give everyone a good laugh so what is the harm, right?

I remember my opinion on Cam Newton being drafted by us. I have mentioned it in here many times. "Biggest mistake in franchise history."

Pretty happy to have been proven so wholly wrong and watched arguably the best player in franchise history. Same with Luke. Wasn't against the player, just didn't see it as a "need." Loved every moment of his career. None of us are right all the time. But very few own up to their incorrect opinions when they are faced with hindsight. Especially when they have such strong opinions they fought so vehemently about.

That's a class of people that I simply cannot understand. IMO, there is likely less than a 5% chance this Sam Darnold experiment works out and I am being VERY generous. However, I am not gonna come on here throwing out the "I told you so's" if we are taking losses as he fugs it up left and right. Nor am I going to shy away from that view if he lights it up and becomes a true franchise star.

The point of being a fan is to want the best for your team. If you want the best for your argument or opinion just to score points with anonymous people on the internet OVER the success of your team.....well......you really aren't a fan at all, are you? Those people deserve to be highlighted and scorned.

Yeah, I quickly got excited about the potential of Cam and I wasn’t really a Cam hater. But I felt his chances of reaching his potential were slim and I’m embarrassed to say I was all aboard the Patrick Peterson train that draft.

My thing is that some people still don't appreciate Robby, and to me it blows the mind. What does he have to do? Putting him into a bucket of third and fourth stringers? What kinda poo is that? It's just not even in the realm of reality.

I was stunned seeing a few people calling him a 3-4 stringer. The ONLY conclusion I can draw is people see his tiny frame and think “that dude can’t be a WR2. He doesn’t have an NFL body”

But his stats don’t lie. He’s played for two very bad teams so far in his career and has played very well in spite of that. I don’t just think he’s a WR2, I think he’s in the top half of WR2s in the league. But maybe that’s my homerism coming out. But Robby is legit.
