Honestly I’d go offense at this point. There was no defensive continuity in our one preseason game. And you are only as good as your depth.

Hard to argue. We have a starting qb who has been trash(yeh, with the Jets) and who admitted to “seeing ghosts”. We have a questionable o-line with a LT who has been terrible. We have very little depth at key positions…

What is hurting their opinion of the Panthers?
1. Low expectations for Darnold, based on Jets days.

2. Forgot CMC was on the bench last year.

3. Not yet aware that our defense should be very good.

4.  Failed to calculate the impact of Marshall.

5.  Have not looked at our schedule.  It seems doable.

Is our defense good? We have up 25+ a game last season, this isn’t b league college  dude.

That was ranked 18th in the league after a roster gutting soooo I would say we see improvement.

We were 2nd worst in 3rd down efficiency which is why the backfield was looked at this off-season.

In 2019 we had CMC….and only won 5 games too.  And we had Luke and those vets then.  CMC doesn’t overcome not having QB play.

We had Rivera and Hurney in 2019.

Without Panthers shades on this team has too many holes and QB is a huge question mark.  We are more talented but we won’t push to the playoffs IMO.

Next offseason will be huge and 2023 could be our year

Year after next we have many players in their prime and hopefully a playmaker at QB

It's hard to overcome any QB that won't throw it within 5 yards of the 1st down marker.
