If my memory serves me right, he started out the 04 season in a hole and came back with 22 tds and 5 int to end the year. So its happened before.

edit: I just looked, I think in 04 he was 7tds and 10 int. until week 8 then he went on a 22td and 5 int. streak without Smitty.

I have no idea at this rate. The only issue is that we score so many touchdowns on the ground so it'll be tough for him to make up that deficit but either way I only care that he doesn't turn the ball over.

You have to give Gman one thing: he is a realist when we win and a realist when we lose. His opinion isn't swayed by mediocre quarterback play.

And don't get me wrong, Jake's play is much improved. But I do not see him climbing out of the hole he dug for himself at the beginning of the season.

Can he play at a higher level the rest of the way? Sure. In the end, who cares about the stats.
