well the thing you have to note is it's a disadvantage to both teams. Both teams are on a short week, both teams have less time to prepare, and both teams have less time to recover from injuries, so in the end, it all evens out.

Both teams have the short week, but one has to travel. I wonder if that has a negative effect on the team traveling when it is such a short week.

Haven't really thought about it but at least the team doesn't have to travel on such a short week plus they will have 10 days until their next game giving them a kind of 'mini' bye week.

yeah but if one team is better at preparation then limiting the significance of that aspect of the game can hurt a team disproportionately
