Who/What are you watching for vs. Baltimore on Saturday?

Overall, I want to see some of the guys that weren't healthy get some significant playing time. Especially Dennis Daley, Myles Hartsfield, Nate Hall, Clay Johnston, Keith Kirkwood, Reggie Bonnafon, and Rodney Smith. Wouldn't mind seeing if Mike Panasiuk can provide competition for back-up center vs. Tecklenburg.

For the offense, I want to see if Brown-Christensen continue to look like the real deal as well see additional snaps for Shi Smith, Omar Bayless, Tommy Tremble, and CJ Saunders. Would also like to see if Trent Scott can bounce back from an abysmal showing vs. Indy.

On the defensive side of the ball, I want to see more of Miller, Hoskins, and Nixon as they're fighting for one or two of them to make the final roster. Kendall Donnerson also put himself into the mix there. Want to see more of the LB depth that we got since Johnston, Hall, and Perryman were out along with the current starters (Reddick/Thompson/Carter). Finally, looking for the CBs down the depth chart to step up now that Pride Jr is hurt. STO3 & Keith Taylor are going to get more opportunities along with Jalen Julius & LaDarius Wiley. Myles Hartsfield might be able to sneak into that group as well since the safeties are looking fairly set with Chinn, Burris, Robinson, Chandler, and Franklin.

For special teams, need Slye to come out and kick a perfect game. Enough of the seeming 1/4 kicks being a miss. Would also like to see somebody separate themselves as the returner between David Moore, CJ Saunders, Trenton Cannon, and whomever else is competing.

Hoping to see Darnold. I don't need to see much, I'd just like to see smart decisions and an ability to stretch the field.

Hoping that Erving is healthy enough to go. If he struggles at LT or continues to be hampered by nagging injury, Moton to LT has to start becoming a serious consideration.

Would love to see Christensen get some time with the ones against their ones.

Would like to see Chuba catch a pass. Hopefully those dropsies yesterday were just welcome to the NFL jitters.

Darnold.  First, last and every option in between, it's Darnold.  If Darnold can be just "good", my expectations for this team will go way up.

We have talent at a lot of spots now.  Yes, we still have weak spots, but every team does.  The question is do your strong spots cover for the weaknesses.

Yes to all of the above. If Darnold comes out and plays 2 smart possessions, I've seen all I need to see. Bubble wrap him and let PJ have the reins. IF Erving can't go, put Moton at LT and let Christensen get some snaps at RT1. Chubba ran hard, but left some easy yards on the field with those drops. That will not do.

What else? I am jonesing to see Tremble line up at h-back and lay some wood! It's unlikely that we see that much in a preseason (vanilla) game, but a boy can dream. I also want to see him catch more passes, that was fun to see!

    • I complete disagree. Who is available is extremely relevant. If you have a couple of players you would be happy with and you can still get them if you trade back, you should do that in a heartbeat. Being afraid that people will lowball you next year is an odd stance. Then you just say no next year, problem solved. In this particular draft you can get a very good player at 46. But to each their own.
    • I don't think so.  Watson really screwed them up.  I see something happening, but do not know what.  Cousins could be had in a trade--but they liked Flacco when he played there.  If it were me, I would not spend the #2 pick on Sanders.  I would go after a tier 2 qb because I think Will Howard is going to start in the NFL soon, and I think Ewers was rated very high at the beginning of the year--he knows adversity and he beat out a Manning while taking Texas to 2 playoff appearances.  I am not good at picking QBs, but I think Howard's run pass option and his accuracy is going to help someone.  Stay in Ohio and play for the Browns behind Flacco--
    • After Cam at #1, there are three or four elite players and there could be a trade--If I am the Giants and I am needed a winning season badly and I have several needs, I might trade out and pick up mid first and an extra second rounder, including a QB--while nobody is going to move up to #3 for Sanders, they might for Carter or Hunter.  If the Giants then move back, Sanders could still be in play.  That could be the trade in the top 3.  New England wants Campbell and I get that; Jacksonville at #5 could move back if someone wants Graham or Jeanty.  But barring some trade, the top 4 are probably locked in. So it could be 2 hours into the draft before we get any surprises. Nice list, by the way--you nailed it.
