Why is Grier still here?

Guy comes from the XFL to the Colt’s practice squad and then comes in and immediately beats him out for backup QB…and yet he is still here.

It is beyond painfully obvious he does not belong in the NFL.

Is there something I’m missing here?

I don’t care either way because neither one should be a starting qb or backup but Grier was playing with like 3rd and mostly fourth stringers. PJ got the lucky draw today imo.

I still don't know why we wasted a pick on him.  Even in college, I thought he was a undrafted/PS type of QB at best.

I said when he was drafted he would be out of the league in two years…but here we are with him hanging on somehow

Is there a Panthers QB in our history that is worse than him? I don't think so

 

I'd rather they bring in someone that can throw the ball downfield and be aggressive even if they aren't accurate. Or someone that can run. Grier solves no purpose. He doesn't have an NFL skill and he's slower than molasses.

It’s clear the coaching staff doesn’t think much of him either.

Now, I don’t think PJ is too much of anything himself, but he’s head and shoulders ahead of Will. Grier had a good run, but I think this is it for him
