Should we bite the bullet and sign Okung for a year at this point?

Very excited to see the young talent on our team in this first preseason game. I see depth in areas I was previously concerned about, but the one area that is a glaring weakness is still Left tackle.
 

We know what we have in Moton, but Trent Scott looked completely lost today, and Christensen was just as bad. Erving has already been injured in camp and even if healthy he’s a huge question mark. It’s very likely that he misses time in the regular season, and whoever replaces him with be a massive liability and could single handedly give us a loss. Do we use some of that extra cap and bite the bullet even though we know Okung himself would be a question mark?

No sense in wasting decent money for 6 games with Okung we could otherwise roll over.
 

LT is going to be garbage per usual until they can actually figure out how to draft one or be willing to bring in a FA who is proven. They haven’t been able to do either for 7 years besides Oher.

For the signing to matter he has to see the field and that's the question. Doesn't seem like he is that concerned about football anymore.

I actually agree with you but man it is tough to swallow watching a young talented team get killed in a spot like that. Games Okung would miss at least the backup would be Erving.
