Official Panthers at Colts Gameday Thread

Hello and welcome to the first preseason gameday thread of 2021. 

 

Today the Panthers take on the Colts in a game that will largely determine who gets cut tomorrow. Although today won't feature the Carolina Panthers starters, there are some names that will be playing that will be interesting to watch. 

Personally, I am excited to see Marshall, Christensen and Chuba Hubbard in real game action.

Also, I’m hoping that either Omar Bayless or Shi Smith has a great game.

Interested to see Trent Scott who started 4 games at left tackle. I hope he plays well and gives us a good option there and allows Moton to stay on the right if they want him there.

He was pretty awful last year. Here's to hoping

PFF had him rated at 61. Their system rates guys between 60-70 as average starters. Assume at the bottom of that so perhaps a little below average.  Here is how everyone ended up.

The roster cut down of 5 players is stupid.  Ten or even fifteen, sure.  Five?  Heck we keep churning the bottom five of the roster anyhow.  I doubt this game changes the bottom 5 guys that get cut.

As always this time of year, it's good to remind everyone that this is only preseason and no one should overreact positively or negatively to what they see today.
