I'd forgotten that people like the draft more than the games. You all wanting to compromise the season before training camp begins to talk draft order already.....sigh

Nope. I'm not a draft guy or an intentional tank guy. It's just that a Kyle Allen can get you a Teddy Bridgewater or a Derrick Brown, but a Jimmy Clausen can get you a Cam Newton.

I'm half joking, but if Sam busts here, I'd just as soon have a top 5 pick next year.

Teddy wasn't moved on from simply because of arms strength but because of timidness and not executing the offense as Rhule and Brady wanted.

Tom Brady doesn't have a huge arm but he has always been aggressive and a good downfield thrower despite not having a prototypical hug arm.

Bridgewater isn't the worst qb but it isn't a question he lacked arm strength on the deep passes. I certainly can't recall him overthrowing our speedsters last year.

Yeah...not true.

Bridgewater's arm was never the issue. The problem was that he didn't have the courage to make risky throws when he needed to.

Walker's touchdown to interception ratio shows that he definitely has the courage, just not the accuracy.

Whatever you say.

Watch that Vikings game last year, beautiful play action missed DJ wide open. We would've won had we kept pounding. But going against his former team, if felt like the coaches wanted him to win that game with his arm.

Teddy ain't got the heart...I mean he didn't have that killer instinct.

I really don't know what happened to Teddy honestly. I don't think he ever had the arm strength to be a Top10 QB in the NFL or anything like that, but it never felt like he was afraid in college to make the passes.

Part of me thinks it's not that he is afraid to make the passes, it's that he knows he can't make them, and he knows what he can make, so he doesn't over-extend himself. Which is great until you need those longer passes down the field with the game on the line.

He could make those passes in college (and boy was it fun!), because the speed wasn't there of the NFL game. And now it's there and he doesn't make them because he knows it's more bust than boom with his arm strength.

And of course he missed some passes, which everyone seems to jump all over him for, but every QB misses those passes once in a while. It's just way more obvious and frustrating when you miss them when you're not making other plays to make up for it.

    • At this rate, maybe he'll be a decent 8-9 QB on his 3rd HC by year 6. Standards are so low around here now. Tepper has done some serious damage to the fan base.
