Come on Christian Eriksen

Dang.  He either had a heart attack or stroke.  That haven’t happened in a while in soccer with constant medicals. The way he stumbled looks like a heart attack.  I hope he just got dehydrated from partying the night before.

Think it was a heart attack. It was really scary to watch unfold. He just collapsed and Kasparov Smeichal had the medics come out immediately. The had a defibrillator going quickly.

Pretty surprised the match resumed. And even though they lost, Lukaku is serving his teammate well with a 10’ goal over Russia.

Oh dang… I’m an Arsenal fan and like Eriksen a lot.  Very good player.  I’m afraid his career is over.

My best friend is also a lifelong Gooner. I’ve been giving him a hard time the last 3 weeks about hiring Emery instead of Tuchel a few seasons back. Shocking to see how far you guys have fallen. Secretly I do cheer for you when you aren’t playing Liverpool just to see my friend happy even though I torture him constantly haha

Yea, Arsenal is a disaster.  It will be the case until Kraonke is gone.  He ran the whole team into the ground.

This could have been terribly tragic if not for those on field medical people.  Hope he makes a full recovery.

After delaying this tournament for a year due to Covid, to have Eriksen, his teams captain, die in front of the stadium of supporters would have truly been a brutal and defeating thing to see. I’m so glad he’s alright.

Now it’s time to sing the Flower of Scotland and rally behind Robertson and his men tomorrow!

Worth noting that it’s almost certainly the end of Eriksen’s professional career. He’s only 29 and while it’s sad to see it end that way, in the first game at the Euros,  he would at least see his career conclude as a Serie A champion, dethroning Juventus and ending their very long run.

It isn’t how he would have hoped to go out, but at least it it’s all over, he’s exiting as a champion and ending Inters long title drought

    • The Raiders have already shown enough interest in Jeanty that anyone after 6 that wants him and would trade up for him, will already be calling the Jags for a trade anyways. The only thing them signaling interest in Jeanty could do if their interest was to trade back, would be to bluff the Raiders into making a swap with them to add draft assets while still drafting whoever they are actually targeting.
    • I love when people go after his YAC ability as if he wasn't 5th in the Big 12 this past season in YAC, because he was. And you can say his style of YAC doesn't mesh with this type of game, but that on its face is just nonsense, because if he's good enough to be 5th in a major conference, it clearly meshes well with his game. The reason you say it doesn't, is because you think all he is good at is making contested catches because of his radius, but because you haven't watched enough of his full tape, you don't realize that he's consistently used in the screen and short slant game to get the ball in his hands because he actually is a solid YAC guy because he's surprisingly agile for a player of his size.   No, he's no Tyreek, but he has more than enough wiggle to his game that you combine it with everything he does at an elite level because of his size, and it makes for a guy who is going to be a consistent 1k yard and 10+ TD player.  He can be the true outside #1 that we need, but he's also versatile enough to be moved into the slot at times to scheme the ball into his hands against smaller nickel corners or slower linebackers. He's a slightly less physical Mike Evans but with more agility, my comp was always AJ Green.  He's going to be an elite #1 WR in this league for the next decade, if he's there and we pass on him to trade down for another WR, we will regret it for a long time.
    • Here is my theory--The Giants are not 100% happy with their pass rush--15 sacks combined between Thib (6) and Burns (9).  In 2026, The Giants will have to make a choice about Thib.  They would then have 2 Edge rushers on second contracts--probably costing around $65m for both.  Many teams want edge players; draft Carter and trade Thib.  Carter's second contract would be due when Burns' contract expires.  In essence, the Giants would have better Edge rushers at a cost of about $40m.  You could probably get a high draft pick for Thib and save $25m. All that to say, "I don't think they are set at edge yet."
