The lightning aren’t the saints. Trust me. They are gonna go the way of the blackhawks this next offseason. The NHL does not fug around with the salary cap because they have to abide by Canadian law too. This is a loophole that’s gonna be closed soon as this season is over.

They are gonna lose the highest value available player to the expansion draft and still not have enough money to keep 2 of their protected players. Even if those guys take a huge pay cut.
